Hotels Near Tainan City Sports Park in Tainan

We stayed two nights in Roots Inn Tainan, I think it’s highly recommendable. The rooms are simple, but clean. It’s got a mini fridge for you to store all the delicious goodies that you may buy in Tainan. No bottled water nor coffee/ tea in the room, but all is provided in the 6/F communal living room. It’s a nice setting to enjoy after a long day out, we bought some snacks from the food stalls near by back to the living room because of heavy rain outside. The living room has all the dining ware that you’ll need, and a nice big dining table to spread your feast out. Location is very convenient as the alleys nearby are filled with food stalls at night. Service is excellent, we asked for extra hand towels and hand soap, they provided that to our room while we went out. The receptionist mentioned to us that even after check out, we are welcome to rest in the 6/F living room before we had to leave, which is very nice. On a side note: BMS cafe nearby is excellent for western breakfast and coffee, we went there for both mornings during our stay.

It very convenient for location & reliable address. It besides casino if not with children, so we are okay. There also have car park but 40twd charges but we don't have car so we just skip it. The location from train station was mostly near like 15 minu. When we there was no room for 3 ppl so they just give us 4 ppl room. It so comfortable & relaxing as there have long bathroom. However there was no aircon 11am - 1 pm

The location from the attractions are quite accessible by walk except that the flower night market is away from the hotel. But by taxi it takes about 10 mins and also to the Tainan station. The staffs are very kind and the hotel is old but still the rooms were quite well maintained. The breakfast is okay but recommend to go down early otherwise there are not alot of food left. Overall, it was satisfying!

The hotel is super near the train station, making it of high accessibility. Meanwhile, the staff are very helpful and polite. Room is spacious and will be cleaned every day. Wonderful experience here. The shower facility is also good. The breakfast at the hotel is very fruitful too. It provides various food including Chinese, *********, Japanese, Thai and western food. In general, it’s an extraordinary experience and would be put on my list for another stay again.

The environment is quiet, clean and tidy, the food is delicious, the catering staff are very enthusiastic about service, and the transportation nearby is also very convenient. It is a place where I would like to stay again.

Great location！ Close to Tainan Station. We had a great deal, USD100 per night including breakfast for two. We booked a double room but I believe we were updated to a family room when we checked in. The room was reasonabally spacious and fairly clean apart from a glass print found on one of the sidetables. Breakfast had a wide selection of *********, Japanese and Western cuisines.

Second stay at this hotel in 2024. Location is generally good for exploring of sights and with many good food options close by. My overall experience for this time was not as good as previously (before covid) though, with hotel amenities seemingly dated and lacking proper maintenance behind the surface. Staff were polite, though did not feel as warm or welcomed as previous. When I enquired about the bicycle loan that was listed on the hotel card issued to me during check-in, I was also told that the service was not available and I could rent a bicycle at the public kiosk instead (probably should not list or offer a service that the hotel does not intend to provide).

I just arrived in Tainan from Kaohsiung, and the hotel is located ten minutes away from Tainan Train Station. It's a bit hard to find the hotel at the entrance, but once you enter, the lobby is large and there are many sofa seats for travelers to rest. The check-in time for the room was 3:30 pm. Since we arrived too early, we left our luggage and went around to look for delicious food. This side of Tainan is relatively old, but there are many snack shops nearby, including authentic Tainan meatballs, breakfast restaurants, sushi restaurants, fruit shops, etc. We walked around for a long time before returning to the hotel room and found that the room was more than twice the size of the one in Kaohsiung. We were very surprised. The room we booked was a room with two double beds. In addition to the dining table and sofa area, there was a lot of activity and storage space. The bathroom is also larger than the average hotel, but it only has a standing shower area. The hotel staff are polite and the room overall feels clean. It would be better if toiletries could be provided and the sound insulation problem could be improved (there happened to be noisy children in the next room)

When checking in 8/20, the service staff first arranged in room B03. When checking in, they found that the air conditioner had been turned on and the remote control was set to 16 degrees, but the air conditioner detection showed that the temperature in the room was 27 degrees. After half an hour of observation, they found that the air conditioner only sent out the normal temperature wind, no cold wind came out. (Photos are attached to this review to view) So the first time I responded to the service staff, I was asked to send someone to the engine room to check the repairs. Later, I waited for another 10 minutes. The second time I reflected to the service staff, the response was ”the machine room is located inside a room, the room is occupied so there is no way to overhaul the air-conditioning outdoor machine”. I asked if I could help change the room. The room staff replied ”Yes”. Then the staff began to tidy up the next room B04. When the service staff is sorting out room B04, I follow the staff into room B04 to check the condition together. The staff knows that I care if the air conditioner is normal, so turn on the air conditioner and ask if I can accept it. I am sure the cold air has started to be delivered. and agreed to change to this room. But the service staff also told me that the faucet on the bathroom sink in Room B04 was inconvenient to use because the fixer fell off. I asked if I could not accept it. I wanted to say that I had already trouble the other party to help me change the room. The faucet was a small matter, so I responded acceptable. Then the staff began to tidy up the B04 room. After about 10 minutes, I changed my room card to room B04 with my friends and colleagues. On the same night, close to 23:50, when I returned to my room, I found that the abnormal low water pressure caused the shower head to have less water and no hot water, and found that the toilet did not contain water, so I reluctantly washed the cold water with lower water pressure.

I really feel from the bottom of my heart that the attitude of the service staff is very good. Different from the catering industry, I am really surprised that the hotel can have such good service (responding to spoken words and helping to press the elevator when passing by). The bed is also very big and comfortable. Recommended to relax!
