Tainan Yongkang District 2-star Hotels

The first time I brought my wife and children to stay, the service and facilities were great, and there was a space for children to play! Awesome, I will stay again if I have the opportunity.

It is very convenient to stay in this cultural hotel. I am attending the graduation ceremony of my relatives and friends at Nanying University. It is only a few minutes walk to the university and there are many snacks nearby. The price was relatively high when I checked in. It was supposed to be a graduation ceremony, so the room price was raised. The air conditioner was not cold enough and it was very hot.

1. The location is not far from the exchange, and it is very convenient to buy things next to it. There are McDonald's, Canxuan, Kang is Mei, Baoya, etc. 2. There is a parking lot. Although there are not many grids, some need a little parking technology, but the second time I came to live, I still had a parking space. 3. The room is simple and clean, with a little taste of old business travel, but it does not affect sleep. I like the bed hard. The bathroom drainage is not very good, it will be wet, but the hot water is comfortable. The whole building has a faint smell of smoke that can't be scattered, and people who mind may not be suitable. 6. I didn't expect to have breakfast, simple and delicious, coffee is very bitter. 7. The CP value of business trips is quite high

I didn’t feel comfortable at all. Somehow it felt spooky to me - so I checked out after 30mins and forfeited my payment for 2 nights. I waited 10min at the counter - no staff no response. But they were otherwise friendly people. I will never recommend my friends or family to stay here because this building feels like an abandoned old building.

It’s located where the bus stops are to go around the city and next to the train station. It’s basic hotel good for the price. the staff speaks good English and very attentive. There’s just a weird smell in the bathroom. The hotel facade is darted look a bit dodgy but overall good price and pleasant stay!

My stay at Hotel Tainan was just okay overall. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was good, offering a decent variety of options to start the day. The room itself was fine, though it felt a bit outdated, particularly the bathroom, which was noticeably old, except for the modern heated toilet. While functional, the overall atmosphere of the hotel didn’t feel particularly pleasant or inviting. It served its purpose, but I wouldn’t describe it as a comfortable or memorable place to stay.

Old Man Captain Hostel is in an unbeatable location—right in front of TRA Tainan Station, making it super convenient for travelers. However, the entrance is a bit tricky to find as it’s inside the FamilyMart by the station, so it took me a while to figure out how to get in. There’s also a Ubike station nearby, which makes exploring the city really easy. The staff were friendly and spoke English well, which made check-in and general communication smooth. As for the dormitory, the beds were pretty basic, and the room itself was quite small. It wasn’t exactly dirty, but it wasn’t particularly clean either. If you’re just looking for a place to crash for a night or two, it does the job, but don’t expect anything fancy. Overall, a good option for budget travelers who prioritize location over comfort.

The front desk lady Ouyang Xiu'e is very friendly and helpful. She helped us find out how to get to ten drums village. Also the young front desk (forget to ask his name) is also polite and helpful. The room is very neat and clean. Location is very close to the railway station.
