Hotels in Chihkan Tower, Tainan

Two nights and three days in Tainan, my first time exploring this city. The property had a great location, making it easy to get around. However, what truly surprised me was the Tainan beef soup and rice cake the glutinous rice topped with braised pork was something special.

I chose to stay at Zaixiadu when I travelled alone in Tainan. It is about 15 minutes walk from Tainan Station. There are many delicious foods nearby. There is a ubike for rent downstairs. The hotel also provides motorcycle rentals. The room is small and very clean. A bottle of water and earplugs and eye masks are provided when you check in. They are gone in the next two days. There are also water dispensers and microwaves in the public area, so it is not a big problem. The guests are very quiet. It may be because it is a weekday. I hardly met other people during the three days I stayed there. The public bathroom is also clean and bright. The hair dryer is a Dyson. You need to swipe the room card to enter the female toilet. It is very friendly for girls traveling alone. The front desk staff has a good attitude. There was a special reminder when the floor was being renovated at the hotel entrance the next day. However, the room is on the twelfth floor and it has no effect at all 😂. The only small problem is that the room card suddenly could not be swiped in on the third day of check-in. I went downstairs and asked the front desk to update it before it could be used. Overall, it is quite suitable for backpackers. I will choose to stay here again next time I come to play~

Nice modern hotel / hostel in the city with nice big kitchen and relaxing area (unfortunately on the 3rd floor, without a room key or the help from reception not able to get there). Room was spacious. Toothbrush, laundry etc. need to pay for it. Got a voucher of 50 ********* dollar to spend at the hotel. Very strict with check out time (11am). Got a call at 11:02 that I need to check out. Free water in the room available. Overall happy with the hotel, room and service.

Great hotel, it's very freshly renovated into stylish both luxurious and minimalistic looking place, loved it. Amenities are all good quality, they even have tooth floss! Room is spacious and comfortable. The only downside may be that the location is not for everyone. It is next block from major historic attractions (which is a good thing), but not super accessible with public transportation

Pros: Cheap! Free washing machine and dryer. Staff were pretty good. Location was great. TV is room. Spacious. Cons: The whole place is old and tired. Very adequate - you get what you pay for.

The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. We loved the breakfast spread and the free high-tea from 1pm-5pm. The gym is small and has the bare minimum equipment. However, it is sufficient for us since we did not manage to use the gym facilities (mostly exploring the area instead).

We had a great stay at Kindness Day Hotel! It’s small but sleek and modern, with a cozy vibe. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially for us English speakers, which made everything so easy. The lounge with unlimited coffee and cookies was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. You get a free drink ticket each night for beer or juice, which is a nice perk. Just be sure to use them the same day as they expire. We didn’t get a chance to use ours! The breakfast buffet was decent, not amazing, but still a nice option to have. With a bus stop and bike station right outside and plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby, it’s a super convenient and welcoming place to stay. Highly recommend!

We stayed for two days, Monday and Tuesday. The soundproofing was terrible. We were woken up by the cleaning noise in the morning. The bed was very soft and shaky. It made us dizzy when we moved next to it. I don't know if it was because there were two beds stacked together. The room was clean, the breakfast was rich, and the location was good, but I didn't feel rested enough. I won't stay here again next time.

Good location and lovely staff. Close to the famous Guohua St. and Haian Rd. Easy to arrive the hotel from Tainan train station with bus

The room is comfortable, the bed is moderately soft and hard, and the bathroom is large with a bathtub. Unfortunately, there is no dry and wet separation. Although slippers are provided in the toilet, it is recommended to install an additional anti-slip strip on the floor, just to ensure safety~ The breakfast section is good ~ the dishes are rich and delicious ~ I will stay here again if I have the opportunity ~
