Really cozy little room with adequate amenities. It’s an old traditional house converted into a guesthouse so it still preserves the unique structure and atmosphere of an older building. Friendly staff and clear explanation. Great experience.

I'm sorry but this was so far the worst hostel experience I'd in Taiwan. The rooms were super smelly and not the cleanest. The stuff was not very willing to help. For example I staid 30 mins in front of the door to drop my luggage and nobody opened the door, unluckily for them I saw them inside ignoring the door bell. A mistake with the room happened too. At the end they treated the problem nicely. I'm fair.

the hostel is renovated from an up-in-year abode nearby Hayashi Department Store and the art museum(just mins of walk), rules to be obeyed here and they offers e-checkin so u may spend some time to do it. The problem is that the check-in time in Taiwan(quite common) is quite late(can be by 3 to 4 pm). The staffs are helpful and they serve working holiday , so we had some great convers and the common area is quite good with japanese tatami flooring mat and tables for nattering away for hours XD!

The building is old and not clean enough. The lower bunk bed is too down and the bed is not good enough. base on the quality of the hostel, it's too expensive. the toilet room is very small, shower room is small too.

Hygiene: The sheets are changed after each guest, and slippers are required when entering the door. You are not allowed to eat in the bedroom, so the overall hygiene is okay. But I don’t know if someone didn’t follow the rules. My friend found a 3cm long cockroach🪳 on the bed. There are mosquitoes on the upper bunk🦟.
Location: Very close to Zheng Chenggong Ancestral Temple, the transportation is relatively convenient. Very close to Tainan Railway Station.
Service: We arrived late and there was a butler waiting for us to check in. Because we were asked to wait for us very late (one o'clock in the morning), we were charged a late check-in fee of 500 yuan.
Facilities: Bathroom facilities are sufficient, but there seems to be only one washing machine, so you have to queue up. There are guitars and ukuleles.

·The hostel owner was a nice guy and helped me out. He was a lovely gentleman with a gentle demeanor. He carefully explained how to use the washing machine and other things.
·Doritomi is separated into men and women, which made me feel safe. I remember being able to talk to the kids in my room.
·The shower room was cleaned regularly and was always clean. There were also three hairdryers nearby, and I regret not bringing one.
·The earplugs I was given were a big help. I stayed during the Tainan festival, so it was very noisy even at night, and I probably wouldn't have been able to sleep without the earplugs. I'm grateful for that little consideration.
