An old building that has been neglected and needs big sums spending on it to bring it up to an acceptable standard. Wallpaper peeling from the walls in both the bedroom and bathroom. Just generally neglected. Breakfast was ok

This place looked great online, but disappointed in every area. It has potential but is very outdated and tired. Wifi & TV didn't work, bathroom had a "spongy" floor, breakfast was mediocre. And there was pretty much zero happening in the town- not this fault of course- we stayed there because we did some tours in area.
Pros: it had free parking and the owners/managers were very nice and accommodating. But sadly, that didn't make up for the price we payed and the overall experience.

Good option for 1/2 nights
Pros of this hotel- great location a short walk from the rail station in the town centre, really friendly staff (covering multiple roles as out of season) great breakfast offering hot and cold
Cons- building is old and needs tlc, atmospheric but bathroom needed an upgrade. Tv aerial not working (not a big deal) no hot water on first night. Decent option for a night or two

On arrival I was upgraded to “the boardroom “. Great but the downside was a TV the did not work because of the aerial connection. Lovely big bathroom with new fitttings, but the bath did not drain.
