I paid the staff for parking and still couldn’t get out of the garage (I might parked at the wrong parking garage) so I paid at the kiosk in order to get out. Didn’t go back to ask for money back. Parking will be an issue if you have a car.

The room is nice... Has a small fridge.. the room is clean.. free mineral water, coffee and tea... Internet wifi is fast..
This hotel only has 1 iron.. and you need to put 500twd as deposit to borrow from the front desk... Eventually I have no chance,coz 1 customer has it and I am wondering why they don't know who borrows the iron if they put a deposit and they don't know the room.
Close to the main station...only 300m by walk.

Great hotel, great price, great service, great location. A few minutes walk from Taichung Station (not to be confused with the high speed railway station) and directly in front of one of the main intercity bus stops (ticket office next door) so easy to take bus to Taipei. Also intracity buses depart from here, so easy to get almost anywhere. Staff are friendly, and the hotel is spotless. Convenience store and beef noodle soup next door too. There are several other hotel options nearby for similar prices, but overall this one ticks all the boxes.

But the building is an old building, smelt old furnitures, booked for a double room but get a twin bed room instead even tho im solo traveler. The hotel itself is very old and some parts definitely need to be refurbished and refurnished. I had issues with the door lock, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helped me fix my issue. The hotel has all necessities I needed as a solo traveler, but you definitely won’t get any luxury here. For short stays and budget, this hotel may be good, because of its incredible location in the city. In just a few minutes you are at the train station. Next to the hotel are 2 convenience stores.
The hotel scores in its really friendly staff and its strategic location.
However the building and the room is very old, the bed takes time getting used to and definitely needs an overall upgrade!

Location is very very good, but bed and pillows are the worst ever! I could not sleep because the mattress springs were literally in my back, pillow very bad. Also, the check in until really really late, this means, for example, that in the dorm I was, at midnight we were 3, and at 4 AM we were 7! 4 people arrived during the night and even if they've been very respectful, still 4 people make some noise. Bed curtains need to be changed, I had the chill from the a/c direct on me. Receptionists are very very helpful, kind and speak a good English!

Great location as many snacks restaurants, all within walking distance. Staffs was friendly. There is all day coffee makers, water dispensary and light biscuits at the front desk. room is spacious and clean. only cautious is the door may not lock when you close to go out. I did not notice until I returned in the evening and the staff quickly came to rectify. seems that some problem with my card. it was replaced and the door is able to self lock again.

Location is quite a distance from the city centre. Need to walk 10-15min to find local shops and eateries. Just across the hotel got a good-size supermarket. Bought local fruits for breakfast. No malls, night markets or shopping areas nearby. Room is spacious but rather old that needs upgrading. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good but selection rather limited. No yogurt and limited selection of fruits. Overall a reasonable good stay.

GGuest UserWould like to highlight an issue we encountered with regards to our deposit and certain charges that were made to us but which we had not incurred.
When we were checking out, we asked to have a look at our statement of charges as we understood that any additional charges would be offset by the deposit placed with the hotel. We had dinner at ”The Prime -Grill and Lounge” on one of the nights and just wanted to check if the charges were right. The statement showed 3 separate bills that were not incurred by us and were all purchases of alcohol, which we found strange.
When we brought this up with the front desk, the staff did not seem surprised at all with the error or sought to verify the same anywhere nor were we given any apology for the mistake. It was as though she already knew that those 3 charges were unanauthorised transactions and said that the hotel would rectify the issue with the bank in respect of our deposit. The front desk was also very adamant to not let us speak to her manager about the issue.
We just wanted to highlight the above because we would usually just trust the hotel to refund the right amount of deposit without checking, especially when using credit card to pay the same. But it may be worth checking when it comes to this hotel as based on the reaction which we got from the front desk, it seems that such mistakes whether intentional or not have happened before. We also hope that the hotel would do some sort of investigation into how issues like this could happen.

YYeow AnnRepeat stay at this hotel, with reliable reputation, excellent location close to TaiChung train station, clean rooms and outstanding team of staff here :) One of my friends was quietly celebrating birthday during stay, but the team noticed the birthdate on passport during check-in and surprised the group with a cake and a personalised greeting card. This was attentive and expectational for the hotel team, in addition to the continued good reputation of City Inn Hotel (Taichung Station). Thank you and all the best!

GGuest UserThe staff were friendly and check-in experience was good. I left my luggage a day before my stay and they safe keep for me in their office. I booked a double room and room size was big enough and cosy. No bottles of drink water in room but can get warm/cold water from dispense at common area. Breakfast, don't expect to get many varieties, but enough to fill your stomach. Although it said bf starts at 7am, when I was there at that time, staff still preparing. Location is just a short walk to fourth credit union, also 10mins to train station.

PPgzdHotel is located at a great location, nice facilities and good cleanliness in my room. My only feedback is that for people who drive, please be aware. The carpark entrance is at the back entrance of the hotel where the convenience stall is located. This hotel uses an Over Car Bonnet Storage system. We were greeted unpleasantly by the carpark assistant (an old man), not only were we not allowed to unload our luggage before parking, he didn't even bother assisting us with our carriage. To make matters worst, we saw him help another guest on arrival that was behind us at that time, to unload their luggage and give them guidance in parking. On my last day, i was awoken by the hotel staff through the hotel phone. They told me that my car was not parked properly and they could not activate the lever system for the carpark. Yes i would apologize if i have parked off by 2cm outwards, but I was woken up rudely in the morning after a long tiring night before with no apologies whatsoever. A note to future hotel guest, if you intend to have your car parked in the hotel, please be mindful the space is not very SUV friendly.

MMazinoI happened to stay in the smallest room in the hotel. Although it felt a bit like a separate space at the end, it was overall clean and tidy.

The only fly in the oin**ent is that I don’t know if the partitions are not soundproofed. The sound in the corridor is acceptable, but the speech next door can be heard very clearly. You will always hear the speech next door when you sleep😅

GGuest User今天剛好是父親節前夕，特地南下台中陪岳父大人吃飯，我們特地選在福華饗宴。吃完后依照女王大人的指示前往一中街把她的二手包賣掉，再買幾件新衫補充囉！晚上再回到逢甲去逛街吃晚餐喔！ 終於在晚間9點初抵達我們注意很久的芭蕾經典旅館，它雖然地址在向上路，但其實要從文心南五路轉進入口囉！ 今晚有摸獎活動，我摸到一顆黃球，可以回饋住宿費600元。我們住的是芭蕾君心的等級，也算是小小嘗試看看囉！ 我們的房間剛好位在最邊間，浴室我覺得有變大的感覺ㄟ！我很喜歡白色系列的造型，加上65吋超大電視，讓我們看起電影很爽快喔！房間還算是相當簡約，該有的都有啦！由衷希望可以有一碗牛肉湯麵泡麵啦！ 今天走了很多路，因此我也享受它的按摩浴缸，還算很舒服喔！晚上看了兩部電影也值回票價，再加上隔天早上又看了一部忍者龜。 早上我跟老婆的早餐剛好一中一西，中式是稀飯配小菜，西式的則是雞腿排漢堡，再配上兩杯柳橙汁，就完成早上的美味時刻啦！ 接着就是瘋狂拍照，為女王跟小女王留下一堆的美美照，結束這一段南下台中快樂行啦！

Across the hotel is Taichung Park. Room wise is good enough with basic items. Additional item can be collected from the reception at level 1

TTA-WEIRoom is as pictured. I like that there’s a door code versus needing to carry a keycard. The top floor can also be used as a workspace with provided coffee machine, tea, and snacks after 5. Location is walkable from the train station and it’s located on the same block as the intercity bus station. Air conditioning works, but needs a cleaning as it gives off a smell if left on too long.
