Very comfortable room with snack and drink complements. It’s so nice and out of expectation! Two toilets do give us convenient for a family in 4! Also , after a day of excitement in Lai Pou the hotel just nearby did give us a good rest indeed.

I booked a room on the fourth day of the ***** New Year for NT$8899, which did not include breakfast and tickets to the parent-child park. I later looked carefully and found that the price on weekends was less than NT$3000. I felt that the price premium during the ***** New Year was too high, and the hotel All facilities and services are not worth the price. I did a quick Google search before booking and saw that it said it was a five-star hotel. I don't know who provided this information, it was very misleading. Plus, the name of this hotel also has the word ”Select”, which makes people feel that it is For a more high-end route, I always thought I had booked a five-star hotel during the Chinese New Year at a very favorable price. However, after staying in this hotel, I found it to be the most unworthy and the one I complained about the most in recent times. In many places in this hotel, one can still feel the traces of renovation of an old hotel, and the cutting of corners is reflected in various details. These are all kinds of unpleasant details that anyone who is willing to spend nearly 9,000 yuan to stay in a hotel for one night can keenly perceive. When we drove to the underground parking lot, we saw that the floor of the underground parking lot was very worn. We knew that it was a renovation of an old hotel. The elevator was very small and crowded. The stone floor of the elevator and the lobby was old and dull. It really gave people a feeling of Not even a four star rating. Due to the traffic jam, it was already seven o'clock when we arrived at the hotel, and we found out that the restaurant in the hotel was not open. I had no choice but to pack my luggage and rush out to find dinner. Basically, I was not told anything when I checked in, including what number to dial to call the front desk. After dinner, I returned to the room. As soon as I entered, I felt that it did not have the high-end feeling of a five-star hotel. Instead, some old furniture, such as the old coffee table and sofa, had paint peeling off but had not been replaced, which reduced the overall texture of the room. Later I found out that the room didn't come with mineral water, so I had to go out to the convenience store to buy mineral water after a tiring day (the hotel has a water dispenser, but no large kettle for water, and the hotel has a vending machine, but it was out of order). The bed in the room was not a freestanding bed. It has been a long time since we have stayed in a hotel of this price range where the bed was not a freestanding bed. All of this made us feel that after a tiring journey, we still had to deal with the discomfort caused by the lack of attentiveness and comfort of various hotels, which was not worth nearly 9,000 yuan a night. I can understand that some hotels now ask customers to get water from drinking fountains in order to be environmentally friendly and save costs, but it is still rare to encounter such a practice in high-priced hotels. The only two advantages of the hotel are probably 1. The surrounding living facilities are good, otherwise we really don’t know what to do if we take the children out to find food at nearly 7:30, and there is no breakfast provided the next day. Fortunately, there are good breakfast shops and restaurants within a 3-minute walk. 2. The room is very large. In short, I think this is a hotel that is very good at marketing. If you don't look carefully, you will think it is a high-end hotel. Many marketing photos also show photos of parent-child parks, which is a bit misleading for consumers. If consumers are busy, they will not be able to see the hotel. If you look closely, you would naturally think that guests can use the parent-child playground for free. Even if there is a premium during the Chinese New Year, the premium is too exaggerated, making people feel that the money spent is not worth it.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is convenient to order takeaway Qinmei Eslite is a few minutes walk away. Come check in at 2:30 pm. Please let the front desk know when the room is ready. As a result, I didn’t get a call until around 4pm to say that the room was ready. The room hardware and software are basically very new. It's a pity that the cleaning needs to be improved. There are hairs on the toilet sink and there are many fingerprints on the window (inside). Went to the lobby bar on the first floor and ordered fish and chips and soft drinks. They were very ordinary. The fact that the spare parts are byredo is a plus.

As soon as the car turned into the hotel, there was a bamboo forest. It had a very casual and comfortable feeling. The service of the hotel staff was really attentive. The landscaping in the flower garden was even better. Insects and birds were singing, butterflies and dragonflies were flying. The whole family loved this trip and accommodation experience.

Will not come again. This was a horrible experience, I used to stay at this hotel many times years ago, but clearly this is not that same hotel anymore. Staff was friendly, but it was quite chaotic when we checked in, we could not find the bell boy to leave our bags. Breakfast was a joke, we sat in ridiculously low chairs for breakfast, and when I saw the manager, note, the manager not a waitress, picked up a bottle of yogurt from the floor and put back to the bowl for guest, it was quite shocking to me so I asked her why did she do that, she simply said to me ”it's not broken”. What a hotel!!

Overall services were good, from concierge, to check in and check out. The room that was allocated to us was spacious however they could have done better to do regular maintenance on their TV channels and systems. Some channels showed black screen with audio whereas some with visuals but no audio. Called up for service and they got a technician over to check yet no outcome and they decided to brush me off by blaming it on system updates backend. Tried over the next few days and still didn't work, and gave up eventually. Not returning to this hotel for my next trip to Taichung.
