Staying at Palazzo Santa Maria during its soft opening was honestly unforgettable. Not because I was invited — but because everything was truly beyond expectations. The building has been beautifully brought back to life, with a deep sense of history and character. Restored frescoes, carefully selected period furniture, and a refined atmosphere make you feel like you're stepping into a timeless retreat — yet everything feels fresh, comfortable, and up to date. Each room is unique in colour and style, and full of thoughtful details that delight a luxury traveller: elegant furnishings, spacious bathrooms with high ceilings, crystal Lalique lamps, and porcelain sinks in period style. Slipping into bed with crisp linens and sleeping on a heavenly Simmons mattress was pure bliss. Add to that plush towels, top-tier bathroom amenities, and a quiet, discreetly hidden AC that preserves both comfort and aesthetics — simply perfect. It’s the little things, too, that make all the difference — a warm welcome treat, a coffee machine in the room, and practical touches like an ironing board tucked neatly away in the closet. It’s clear this place was created by someone who truly understands what makes a stay feel special. The lady running the hotel was absolutely lovely — warm, helpful, and effortlessly professional.
