We dined here three evenings whilst staying in the village. We found all the young staff behind the bar to be very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was super, especially from the daily specials board. We very much enjoyed our evenings in the Greyhound.

My wife and I have just got home from 2 wonderful night stay at the Greyhound. We were very impressed with the Inn. Lots of character, beams and stone walls. Our room was very comfortable, very clean, it came with bottles of water, tea, coffee making equipment, and packets of biscuits, always a sign of being looked after. The breakfasts were fantastic, very good choices, if you didn’t want the full English, the quality of the food was top notch. We ate in the restaurant both evenings the service was excellent, the food was fantastic, again top quality meat and veg, I had a steak, my wife had the chicken the first night. They were both superb, second night I had fish and chips, my wife went for the vegetable stack, again both were very well cooked and delicious. I would like to mention all the staff too, they were always smiling, if you asked they would always answer of get what you asked for. Sorry didn’t get any names, but they were all wonderful, and made our stay a pleasure. We have stayed at many hotels/ guesthouses, I must say the Greyhound inn came in right at the top of the pile. Would be go back and stay? Totally yes, without hesitation.

The pub has a nice setting and well presented. The waiter was very friendly but the service was slow. The starters took a long time the there was a long wait between meals. Not Great when you have a little one. Small details missed like bringing the toddlers meal out first rather than last. The food itself was mixed in quality. The burger and fish were good but the prawns and pork dishes were both over cooked and tough which was such a shame.

We spent a most pleasant two nights here over early May bank holiday weekend. The room was clean and comfortable as was the bed (although the pillows were a little lumpy and could use an upgrade). Silence reigns at night, so there's nothing to trouble your sleep. The pub is delightful with a selection of real ales, well-kept. As for the food, we only had breakfast here but that was first-rate. Staff are delightful; Thea was a pleasant and thoughtful hostess. Oh--and Kimberley was so helpful with our booking from overseas. Aside from all that, the village and the setting are worth the visit. We'd gladly stay here again.

Food was very disappointing, congealed 'puree' and burnt dauphinoise potatoes. Poor service and no apology for the food except to be told it was a trainee chef (still charged full price) The pub was cold with no heating on. Would not recommend

My family and I have been coming here for years and I have shockingly never reviewed the pub! We had a lovely meal recently that was made all the better by Mary’s wonderful, attentive service. We have met many waiters/waitresses here over the years however, Mary is definitely someone who will stick in our minds. Her sense of humour coupled with efficient service and menu recommendations made for a brilliant evening. We hope to see her again soon!

An out of the way Inn, but well worth the deviation. A well presented and clean pub with nicely spaced tables. The staff were welcoming and attentive, giving ample time to choose our food....which came in good time. The starter, main and sweet were all delightful...the main on a nice hot plate. The 'facilities' were clean.

Excellent, beautiful pub, accommodation and food with really lovely friendly and helpful owners and staff. Everything one could wish for for a short break in a country pub. Cannot speak highly enough of this gem of a pub! Breakfast was lovely and plentiful and staff could not do enough for one. Highly recommended.
