It’s a really expensive hotel to not have a microwave or microwave accommodation or an elevator also. And there was no help in trying to meet any of these needs of mine and water isn’t even placed in the room. There isn’t a fridge too it’s almost like it’s geared towards having one spend more money at the restaurant below but asides all this it was very clean so that’s a plus

Swords close to airport. The accommodation was located directly opposite shopping centre. Easy access to public transport into Dublin. Good facilities our room was very clean, and despite having some concerns about the potential noise level it was very quiet.

I stayed here for a gig in Dublin, its not my 1st time here, and it never disappoints.
The girl at check in was so.polite and friendly, I waited at the bar and she was very efficient in checking me in. The food is excellent and very good value.

We stayed here after a long flight into Dublin Airport and were surprised how close it is to the airport! Less than 10 minute drive to a lovely little town with many nice restaurants and bars. You can also drive into Malahide in less than 10 minute too. The hotel itself was lovely with a large room and nice bathroom. The staff were very friendly and there is parking at the hotel. There is a bar on site so it can be a little loud but there wasn’t noise too late at night so I wouldn’t let this put anyone off staying here

Sleepless night
Parking is a challenge. The lot holds enough for maybe a dozen cars. Confusing check in process. Walked through restaurant and checked in at bar. No reception. Room was large and spacious. Sleepless night though as they have an automatic opening skylight they opened and closed by itself all night long.

The hotel is on top of a bar, but it was quiet. The room was quaint. No mini fridge though. And no air conditioner. It was a little warm. Had no windows, but did have a skylight.

Very quick check in, room is amazing.
AC was perfect. Location is great, got into the city and back very easily as stop is right across the street. Would 100% stay here again.

I chose The Old Borough by Wetherspoon because it’s close to the airport (10 minutes), but it didn’t meet my expectations. Getting into Dublin was inconvenient—40 minutes each way and $30–$40 per ride. The property itself felt outdated and crowded, more of a local bar scene than a comfortable hotel environment.
The room had no windows, only a skylight connected to a loud AC system, making it dark and difficult to ventilate. The television wasn’t a smart TV, so streaming wasn’t an option. I also found there wasn’t a comfortable lounge area to relax before an early morning flight.
On a positive note, two of the check-in staff were very kind, especially one gentleman in the evening. Still, overall, I was disappointed and wouldn’t choose this hotel again.
