Would highly recommend this hotel. Food is really good with a great choice of dishes. Rooms are lovely and very comfortable. Staff are great and go out of their way to help you. Night porter Laurent was great and very helpful at 5.30am in the morning when I had to leave.

Beautiful hotel, very clean comfortable bedrooms. Breakfast very tasty and wonderful service. Evening meal in the lovely bar was delicious and good value for money. Lovely young man Finlay looked after us so well with a good mix of humour and tasty menu options.

We went for a birthday meal. It was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were excellent, including waiter/ waitress, chef and management. Can't wait to come here again. Thoroughly recommend it. My family would come here again.

I organised my mother's surprise 80th birthday which was held here in this hotel at the weekend. I cannot compliment and thank the staff enough for how well it went. It was perfect from start to finish. Trish and Colette could not have done anymore to help me make it all go seamlessly. The room was so well decorated for Xmas, the buffet food was excellent. The waiting staff were so nice and helpful. I literally have nothing bad to say. I would highly highly recommend having a party here for a special occasion. 🥰

Had a meal with drinks The choice was potato skins stuffed with chicken. It was god awful ..They were cold and stodgy and I think they were frozen and reheated in a microwave. I felt quite rough after eating it and it was several hours before I felt OK. I did ask the hotel for an explanation but after one call when they said they would investigate what went wrong. Nothing. I won't go there again... Joe G

Very disappointing stay. Old fashioned rooms. Food average. Terrible smoking area. Windows in room can't be opened and no Aircon or even a fan ( stifling at night) Wouldn't recommend to anyone. It is also way overpriced. Book into a local B&B.

Myself and my husband have stayed here previously. No issues can be raised. The staff were lovely and so professional. The food was just amazing. Even if you're just passing through but not staying I'd recommend calling in for breakfast. It really is the best I've had! The room was lovely and cozy. The hotel is small but for what it is it's perfect. I will be back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone either!

We have stayed here a lot over past 7/8 years and it is always a tidy clean spot although I suppose a little dated and pretty basic. Food is always good and the new owners seem to specialise in lunch’s and dinners. Breakfast was always good with front of house always on the ball but this recent visit was a bit all over the place. Breakfast was now in the bar as I expect with a festival on perhaps they kept the normal room for functions later on but still no excuse for the slipshod carry on. Firstly only soup spoons left out and no tables set (we weren’t 1st down either) had to look for milk and were handed a 2litre can 😂. Breakfast cold and had to be sent back.we are not prunes but expect things to be somewhat right. Despite mentioning this to reception things where if anything worse on the 2nd morning as we overheard they where running low on milk and so sent the 2litre can back 😂 Also you’d want to be a plumber to figure out how to work the shower as it was cold and likely to slow to a dribble and then scald you. Seemily this is because the room is a distance away from water tank 🤔🤔
