Swellendam Country Lodge - Guest House - B&B

We stayed overnight. Clean and comfortable room with a good shower and bed and a patio overlooking the garden. Good sized pool and loungers. Breakfast was superb and we enjoyed it on the veranda outside. Run by a lovely couple who were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful place surrounded by luscious garden. Spacious and comfy rooms, soft bed and large bathroom. Nice terrace and swimming pool to dip in on hot days. The breakfast on the porch was divine with lots of fruit and superb cappuccino. The owners welcomed us with good advise, ( we hiked the Marloth path in the mesmerizing mountains) kind and very hospitable; their dog Kaya soooo sweet. In short: great stay highly recommended

The only place to stay Lovely guest house - if you are staying in Swellendam, then this is the only place to stay! Clean, fresh & friendly with tropical vibes and tasty & healthy breakfast :)

This review is relatively objective being my 16th road trip staying at 14 properties over 39 nights. We stayed for one night in March. Easily found on the outskirts of town with secure private parking, some distant road noise in the pleasant garden, but not in the room. Welcoming hosts. Well maintained garden and pool. A refurbished property, that’s clean and welcoming. Our air conditioned chalet was compact, but clean, well equipped and comfortable. Good quality linen and excellent shower pressure. No common area apart from the breakfast (excellent quality) room. Off grid solar power, so no load shedding problems. Decent WiFi. A good restaurant just across the road, with plenty of others further into town. Good for a short stay.

This is a lovely well kept country lodge situated at the entry to the very pretty town of Swellendam. The owners and hands on management team are a lovely couple Vivienne and Jan who are always available to meet every request or to advise. The grounds are immaculate and the rooms are lovely, clean and well laid out with all the conveniecies that are required. Breakfast was nothing short of excellent with granola, fresh fruits, nuts, cheese , eggs ( even pooched eggs are available) and salads. More you can't wish for. When we arrived my wife asked if they have avocado at breakfast. - they don't as a rule but when we went for breakfast, next morning, avocado was on the table waiting. Now that's good service . ..... That is what makes people come back for more and that is exactly what we did. When we checked out we made a new booking for a week later, when we drove back from the Garden Route and enjoyed another overnight in this lovely very pretty Guest house. Highly recommanded.
