Strand Hotel Swakopmund
4.4/552 Reviews
Excellent reception by team, fast and friendly service with the book in process. Nice rooms and excellent bathroom with good finishes. Restaurants close by and others within walking distance if you want anything else. Only down side during visit, the gym was not available...
Be-Still Accommodation
4.2/59 Reviews
Great location, double bed (rare in Namibian accommodation), nice and simple, secure parking. We stayed here, explored Swakopmund. It has great restaurants, friendly people who are all willing to help when needed. Near Walvis Bay: if you are a surfer try Dolphin Beach. I tried Donkey Bay, but was way beyond my skill level.
Hotel Deutsches Haus Swakopmund
4.1/512 Reviews
The space in the room was spacious and comfortable. The view from the room window was the hotel passageway, which was disappointing. Breakfast was an American-style buffet, and some menu items were cooked to order and brought to you. The tables on the restaurant's balcony have a view of the city.
The Delight Swakopmund
4.6/548 Reviews
We spent two nights in this hotel during our Namibia holiday. The hotel has its own secured parking space. The balcony of our room faced the road and a busy parking lot so there was no way of using it. Unfortunately there was no balcony facing the nice courtyard. Room was clean and the size was o.k. too. There was a floor lamp on the right side of the bed which was flickering when turned on. At night couldn’t open the window due to the noise. Buses reversing or waiting with the motor full on. [There is a ****** there]. Apart from the above shortcomings, some of which , understandably, the hotel cannot help, the hotel was o.k. What really stood out was the attitude of the breakfast room staff and the reception. One receptionist in particular appeared to be bored, disinterested and even when directly addressed couldn’t be bothered to help the guests as in when asked if she could recommend a cafe nearby. The breakfast room staff on the other hand were very friendly, doing a great job. The breakfast was also good, including as one guest has already mentioned, Oysters and sparkling wine
Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre
4.3/532 Reviews
Not much to add from what others have said. Plus points are it being a short walk from town centre shops and attractions and the huge beds. Only downside for me was having to walk outside, around the pool and down round a few other corners to get to the breakfast room. It was a chilly walk of a morning!
Salty Jackal Backpackers & Surf Camp
4.3/511 Reviews
We recently stayed at this hostel as a couple, and even though we're not into surfing, our experience was quite enjoyable. We opted for a private double room with shared bathroom facilities. There is secured parking. The kitchen facilities were also a big plus, allowing us to prepare our own meals and save some money on dining out. The owners and hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were always available to provide helpful tips and recommendations for exploring the area. The shared areas in the hostel were comfortable and inviting. Whether you wanted to relax, engage in conversation with fellow travelers, or get some work done, there were suitable spaces for all these activities.
