I loved the location and the staff, ALL of them from the front desk to the very friendly cleaning crew ! I loved the quiet and the room was VERY comfortable and roomy and clean ! I DID NOT like that the bathroom door would close you in if you fell getting out of the tub, VERY unsafe and in the way. I did not like that the bathroom door was so tight to the floor that you could not leave a towel on the slick tile floor to help keep you from slipping on the floor when getting out of the shower AND there was nothing really to grab ahold of for safety. Same with the jacuzzi tub, very difficult to get out of safely. needs some grab bars. I DID NOT like that the back door did not have a screen so you could enjoy the fresh mountain air, without letting bugs in... AND it was not s sliding door, so to enjoy the patio, you had to close the door to the room because it took up half of the small patio. It advertised a room for $79-$84 bucks a night on Google maps, but for some reason my 1 king size bed for 1 adult cost me $179+ taxes and fees total close to $200 per night, that must have been 1 expensive Jacuzzi... I would consider staying here again next year, but I will probably look around first, and definitely ask for more specifics on the price. I did not like that they only had eggs available for breakfast on SAT and SUN, but they did have sausage and waffles, no eggs mon-fri ... All in all , very nice stay, great and very friendly welcoming staff. At a price of 200 for weekends, and 140 for weekdays... should have eggs, and a sliding glass porch door with a screen. Also, the wifi for the room was good, but a little complicated, mostly because it logs you out EVERY day. My iPhone and iPad finally quit using it altogether. I wish the room had an ethernet connection.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Cherokee

Good base for whom the Great Smokey Mountains want to explore. You don't expect the great luxury but clean rooms, good shower and a good breakfast (including). There are few good restaurants in the area, so we fled to Bryson City and Maggie Valley before. On the other side there is the Cherokee ******: for the lovers but not our thing. There was an alarm around 3 a.m. in the first night. So bad night, but we got a new room.
Rodeway Inn and Suites on the River

We stayed at this hotel, before it was a Rodeway several years ago and really enjoyed it. This time, it was very relaxing. The hotel has not had any upkeep that we could see. There were stains and a cigarette burn hole on the bedspread and stains on the curtains to the balcony and the carpet. The room was clean other than the stains, for this is why I gave it a 3. No breakfast was served and coffee was not served in the lobby until 7 a.m. The woman who worked as so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area and I really enjoyed visiting with her. The others answered only when spoken to. The hotel itself is in a great spot. It was so relaxing to sit on the balcony and hear the river run. The bank of the river is overgrown so the visual is not as good as it was, though still nice. With a little upkeep this could be a 5 star place. Would we stay here again, yes, just because of the location. Please update the hotel, make it as nice as it was before.
Chestnut Tree Inn - Cherokee

We stayed in a lovely room. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was immaculate. Unfortunately due to the Covid guidelines we missed experiencing the hot breakfast, but the hotel provides a goody bag for guests. Contrary to the Harrah's hotel, this property provided coffee machines, microwaves, etc., in guest rooms. All in all a very nice property with clean, well appointed rooms. friendly helpful staff, and attractive grounds. Will definitely stay again.
Great Smokies Inn - Cherokee

having to relocate to cherokee at the spur of the moment for employment Great Smokies Inn made my relocating painless making me feel right at home for a month till i found housing. The rooms were spacius comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly, pleasant, helpful and welcomed me to their community with out hesitation. Especially Jess, she was always willing to go the extra mile, although I am unsure of her current position. Her customer service, pride and dedication in her work makes he upper management material. And if she is not in management then she needs to be. To say the least she is one of the few hospitalitarians we still have left today in our industry.

We originally booked at Floyd’s or Lloyds on the river. It was the worst motel experience ever. Checked out after first night because it was so bad. We came here and I told the clerk our story about the other place and the problems we had. She fixed us right up. Gave us a room that was more convenient for my husband who has been having difficulty walking. Very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and more importantly, CLEAN. We were in the room by the lobby and did not hear any noise, even at breakfast time. They did not have a full breakfast but did have muffins and packaged biscuits you could microwave. I would definitely stay here again. Very good experience.

We stayed in Cherokee to enjoy the Great Smokey Mountains National Park before heading to Gatlinburg. This is an excellent stop for close proximity to Cherokee. Food and shopping options are close by, along with easy access to the park and nature attractions. The hotel does not have many amenities itself, but the rooms are very comfortable and the hotel is practical. The breakfast had a lot of good options. We would definitely stay at this hotel again for a visit in the Cherokee area.
