Hotels near Xu Gate in Suzhou

The free hanfu experience was disappointing. There was no enthusiasm or any attempt to promote the services. Initially I was keen on the add-on make-up experience but did not have the confidence to take it up seeing the lack of motivation from the service staff, who were busy on their phones most of the time. We had breakfast at the Rui noodle house. The food was so-so compared to everything else we tried in Suzhou. However i am rating Pan Pacific 5 stars as the above are not directly controlled (I assume) by the hotel. The hotel’s service staff were warm and helpful. They arranged for a room with a fantastic view of the Panmen Scenic Area. Also, we received a surprise dessert/birthday treat in the room with a sweet note. Derrick at the front desk was especially helpful and proactive with solving a payment issue we had with food delivery and arranging for late checkout. Thank you! We also appreciate the tickets and access to the Panmen area. It was super lovely to enjoy all it had to offer at a leisurely pace without the crowds at some other scenic areas. All in all a wonderful stay and we would be most confident to recommend Pan Pacific Suzhou to family and friends.

The hotel room is clean and tidy, the view on the 16th floor is nice, the service of the staff is very good, the disposable slippers are very nice, and the fresh meat mooncakes and Qingtuan downstairs are delicious.

Environment: The hotel was built in 20 years, and the facilities are very new. It is directly opposite the Suzhou Great Hall of the People, and the transportation is very convenient. Facilities: It is worth mentioning that the bed and pillows are very comfortable. I immediately asked the front desk where I could buy the same ones. We live on the first floor. The room is well soundproofed and very quiet. Hygiene: The rooms are very clean and there is no peculiar smell. Last but not least, on Daoqian Street where the hotel is located, the ginkgo trees are really beautiful after mid-November. The golden fallen leaves are all over the street, which is super nice to take pictures with.

I took my old mother on a two-day trip to Suzhou and chose Yicheng, which was newly opened in 2023, after comparing many aspects. After the experience, I was very satisfied with this choice. The hotel is in an excellent location. Suzhou Railway Station is only a 10-minute drive away. It is also very convenient to get to other scenic spots by bus or subway. Some places can be reached on foot. City Walk is a good choice. The room was also clean and tidy, and it also had an electric toilet. The old mother was very satisfied with this, and the overall stay was very comfortable. There is also a cute little water delivery robot ^_^ The front desk staff are very good, very proactive and enthusiastic. Personally, I think it is a very cost-effective hotel.

I came to Suzhou to travel and chose this hotel. At the beginning, the room was very dark. The child said that he didn't live. Later, he contacted the front desk. The front desk arranged for Sister Zhou Hong to deal with it and helped us adjust the room type! This room is particularly bright! The child likes it too! Sister Zhou is very polite! Tell me if you have any questions, you can contact her! Very enthusiastic! The hotel environment is also very good! It rained outside the last day I left! Contact the front desk, the front desk said that the umbrella needs to be sent back? Then Sister Zhou gave me two umbrellas! Very good! I am very touched! I will definitely choose Orange Crystal again next time I come to Suzhou. The subway is just downstairs and the transportation is convenient. It is close to surrounding scenic spots and shopping malls. I especially like the family room I stayed in this time. It is spacious and comfortable, and the dressing room is very practical. I like it.

Got a room on the 14 level. Nice big window with good view. Really enjoy the stay at the hotel.

How did I even find a place in such a perfect location for such a price? The hostel is located between Leqiao and Chayuanchang stations. Leqiao is an interchange for 2 lines which you will take very frequently. Across the road from the hostel is Guanqian Road. I got the private room, it was clean and just like what you see in the pictures. The toilet and bathroom walls are glass though, which is fine for me since I'm solo, but if you're travelling with someone that might be something you want to consider. The people at the hostel are really helpful and friendly too. In general I found people in Suzhou to be really friendly. I liked the place and it's definitely a place I wouldn't mind returning to again.

Love this cute little hotel! The lobby doubles as a bakery so u might miss it when looking at street level, but the hotels name is in large font on the building itself ! It’s to the right of Suzhou Bank. We booked the loft room and had a very pretty unblocked view 😊 The toilet is glass and can be seen from the upper loft level so that’s a bit award when you’re showering or using the toilet 😅

The security guards are also in place to supervise the parking of the vehicles, and the cleaning staff are very serious; second, the room attendants fully satisfied our request for a few more bottles of mineral water, and provided them every day during the four-day stay; third, the breakfast organization is very orderly, and individual guests and team or conference personnel are separated and do not affect each other. Every breakfast, you can see the restaurant supervisor on site to assist in the arrangement, and the service staff can also clean up the dining environment in time. This is a problem that many five-star hotels have not solved well, but it is handled very well here; fourth, the parking environment is very convenient and safe, and the hotel is in a good location; fifth, the hotel environment fully reflects the characteristics of Suzhou gardens, and the internal environment is very beautiful. This hotel is worth recommending and gives a five-star rating.
