Hotels near Soochow University(East Campus) in Suzhou

My initial stay didn’t start off great. The concierge saw me struggling with my luggage and didn’t bother to help (would rather listen to his music on his AirPods). Told the front desk (they could check CCTV to see he just sorta watched me). To make amends they sent up some fruit. The room was a good size and clean. The morning buffet is alright but better to get something outside of the hotel as the variety wasn’t too good. Overall a good stay and I would recommend. One downside for sure was the gym / pool. It’s hard to find and the service was terrible. People on their phones until I asked for their attention (just to check details) and they just kept going “Shenme?” Made no effort to help so bailed. It looked pretty filthy as well.

Love this cute little hotel! The lobby doubles as a bakery so u might miss it when looking at street level, but the hotels name is in large font on the building itself ! It’s to the right of Suzhou Bank. We booked the loft room and had a very pretty unblocked view 😊 The toilet is glass and can be seen from the upper loft level so that’s a bit award when you’re showering or using the toilet 😅

I really liked to stay at Hampton by Hilton hotel in Suzhou. The facilities, equipment and environment in particular are excellent. The breakfast is included, big choice of food. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of Chinese guests at the hotel. But as a foreigner, I would like to add that it is easy to stay here for foreign guests as well, because the stuff of the hotel try to help with all the issues and it becomes really comfortable to live at the hotel. I would like to thank in particular the administrative person, Melody, for her kind help to me as a guest of the hotel with administrative registration. Also, the room is very clean, the view from the window very beautiful, can see the river and the center of Suzhou, the hotel room is beautiful and comfortable, also here is a comfortable table and chair for working on computer if needed. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and highly recommend it to other guests.

Location is great and within walking distance to Ping Jiang Street and Shuang Ta food building. It's easy to get transportation via didi app to travel to various unesco sites such as Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou museum, Master of the Nets etc. Accommodation is great. Staff asked if we prefer the room facing the bustling street or the residential area which was serene with birds chirping in the mornings. Hotel breakfast was sufficient and mainly local fare. No laundry service but hotel has a laundry room which is great! Service staff team are attentive; the chambermaid, laundry room lady and reception were very polite and service oriented. I'll return to this hotel again!

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Especially Willson Wang, he made a trip himself to find out the best route to get to hotel from metro station. He took a video of the route so I can follow it next time. Hotel breakfast has good variety, fresh and tasty. I definitely recommend this hotel for business travelers or vacation travelers.

Very convenient and good location! Near attractions but away from the crowd. It's around 7 minutes walk to Shuangta Market and right opposite Pingjiang Rd. There's also Starbucks right beside and just a 3 minutes walk away from the nearest metro to visit the rest of Suzhou. The hotel amenities were amazing. Loved that our room had great natural light and blackout curtains when needed, the bed and pillow were super comfortable, and the laundry + gym facilities were clean and user friendly. The drip coffee and tea bags provided in the room were surprisingly good. Front desk and housekeepers were really friendly. Overall a lovely first impression of Suzhou hospitality.

If you want to visit the garden, it is a good location. There is a small round forest inside the B&B where you can take photos. The room hygiene needs to be improved. But in terms of cost performance it's okay.

When I took a taxi, the master praised me for my taste, and the place I chose was the historical old town, not the commercial area. After arriving, our two girls dragged our luggage and couldn't find the entrance (at the entrance of a cement round hole). First, we called the front desk to confirm the entrance. It was picked up by a girl, and her tone was a little impatient, so the first impression was bad. At 12 o'clock, I sat in the cafe to rest, and took pictures by the way. I saw the exhibition on the first floor. We went outside to play and came back around 8:00. Another older sister checked in for us, and her attitude was not bad. A middle-aged man with long hair and a bit of an artistry helped us carry our luggage. It was only later that I found out that it was the owner, and his service was very good. But at night we were going to take a shower, and it turned out to be cold water, a bit warm, and no hot water. Wechat voice said that the master was repairing the water heater. This time is when the guests take a shower. Later, my friend waited until 10 o'clock to start taking a bath, and it was still cold and warm water. If you catch a cold in winter. Good thing it's summer. Room prices are cheap because of the pandemic.

I chose to stay at Artyzen Suzhou this time because I had a good impression of Artyzen Macau, and I saw that the hotel just opened in 2023, so I wanted to experience it. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic on the day I checked in, and she even upgraded me to a suite. I quickly entered the room by swiping my card. The room is large and has a strong sense of design. The overall decoration style is simple and practical. Some details are very pleasant, such as the plush slippers provided, which are perfect for this season. However, maybe because of the large number of guests during the holidays, I felt that the entire room was not very clean. From the desktop to the floor, from the bathroom floor tiles to the floor drain in the shower area, it was not the hygienic environment that a hotel of this level should have. After looking at it a little bit, The comments resonated with me, and I hope Suzhou Artchen can improve its hardware and software services so that it can truly stay and stay new.
