The hotel is located at a major T-junction in Mudu, an old town incorporated in Suzhou. This means that it is on a reasonably busy road. Nevertheless the excellent sound isolation makes it not much of a bother. As all Atour- hotels, personnel is trained well and is generally welcoming. Room and overall space in this hotel was a little bit tight compared to other Atour hotels I visited. Nevertheless overall I think Atour hotel are one of the best values for this quality of any hotel chain in China, as is this one. Membership, available for less than 100 yuan carries attractive options such as very cheap breakfast, late checkout (1600) and more. I had a good stay, coming in late with my bike, which they allowed to stay in the lobby for safe guarding.

Objective evaluation is to compare a new hotel that has been open for less than 2 weeks with a hotel that has been in operation for many years. It is unfair! The 48 yuan Atour breakfast makes me feel like it’s a 68 yuan product! 👍 Although some service details of the hotel still need to be improved, the busy figure of the general manager can be seen at different times and in different places... Details determine success or failure! The hygiene and service can be given 5 stars. The hotel is relatively new and the cleaning is very clean. Every staff member will smile and say hello when they see us, they are very enthusiastic! It’s just that the facilities and environment are really hard to describe... Three problems: 1. The room has an inner window. Although this is stated on the order page, the smell of smoke in the room is quite strong, and it is really bad that it cannot be ventilated! 2. I knew from the reviews that the sound insulation was not good, but I really didn’t expect it to be this bad! You can hear conversations and noises from the next room, the corridor, and even the room opposite the bed. The key point is that this location is probably the food court. There are many people eating late night snacks and drinking, so it doesn't stop until 2 or 3 in the morning! 3. The hardest thing to accept is this mattress. It creaks every time I turn over, and I couldn't sleep well all night. I originally booked for 2 consecutive nights, but I could only check out on the second night.

The room was clean and tidy, the service staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was good! The hotel is right in front of the subway, and across the road is the shopping mall, which is convenient for traveling and eating! Most importantly, there is also a laundry service, which is great news for families with children!

It's really good. The room was very full on the day of check-in. Due to my own reasons, the room was assigned to the wrong room. I immediately reported the situation to the front desk. Did not meet expectations. Building has issues. -Rooms had temperature issues that the AC could not handle, Hotel tries to handle this with curtains and a paper notice (see picture. With the curtains closed Room was 35°C at check-in in winter because the room was on the sunny side). -Lack of hot water for the shower/bath in the evening, hotel said it has trouble handling peak hours (and they weren't even fully booked). -Shoehorn dropped in the middle of the night, waking us. Hanger is a double sided tape variety. -Other obvious maintenance issues like the electrical socket being misaligned, and the toilet seat having bad gearing in the smart toilet. -No decaf coffee available in the room, the staff said there is none (did not even know what it was). Normally with this brand of coffee the decaf is in blue packets. -Breakfast was mediocre at best. Pretty standard mainland fare. Line to the noodle stall was excessive, and for everything else the quality was lacking. On the positive side, the pool and the sauna were satisfactory. Good parking too. Firm bed for those who like it. Staff was fairly responsive despite, although Chinese is helpful. And for one of the 3 rooms booked we got an upgrade (although all of the negatives above still apply)

This is my first time on business trip to Suzhou. I have stayed in Atour in Jiaxing, and I feel pretty good. This time I chose Atour in Suzhou Universiade City. The service is attentive, the location is good, and the breakfast is also very good. It is very suitable for business trips or travel, but it must be To choose a room facing the street, the lighting and ventilation effect will be comfortable! Next time I come to Suzhou, I will choose Atour. I have already set up a membership~
