Popular Suzhou 4-star Hotels

The receptionists, staff and restaurant waiters were all friendly. I was upgraded, and they assisted me in placing online orders using Maituan and getting Didi to go around the city. They gave me souveniers and had some for other guests and their kids. A pleasant stay indeed!

After selecting for a long time on Ctrip, I finally chose this hotel. It was always a good choice. Although the hotel has been renovated for a long time, it is well maintained, very clean and comfortable to live in. It is also very quiet. The room was upgraded and a breakfast coupon was given. The reviews before going convinced me that it was not good, but I think it is still very good. Every question was answered in detail, except that an elderly and a young receptionist at the door did not take the initiative to deal with people, but if you ask them for directions, they will also introduce them in detail. The breakfast is not bad. This time I came out to catch up with my husband's birthday. I had lunch in the hotel restaurant and the taste was not bad. In short, the only thing is that the bed squeaks when you sit down

Such a friendly hotel and much better value for money than some of the big names. Room was really big and very clean, bathroom a little old but spotless. As a family of four this was a good choice for us. The staff were lovely, they honestly put some of the 5* to shame, they were really helpful with everything. Breakfast is fine if you are happy with Chinese food, lots of choice for this (there were some western options) and happy to share a table. Beds were a little on the hard side for anyone not from China but fine. Overall we had a great stay and at a very reasonable price. There is a big free car park too which really helps if you are driving. There is also a metro station a very short walk away. There was a bowl of fruit and a lot of bottled water and ample toiletries. Would definitely stay again, a good wallet-friendly option.

If you’re looking for a perfect 4 star venue in the city centre then look no further! This place is a good bargain all round the year and even in peak seasons. I am going to split my review into sections so bare with me. 1) Rooms: The outdated the rooms need a serious paint jobs and the couch is quite “scratchy” material wise. Despite the interior eye sore, the flats are quite cosy with everything you need. Scenery wise , those who aren’t afraid of heights request the balcony rooms ! Maybe they don’t have the views of the shanghai centre shopping mall but the evening breeze did put me to sleep like a baby! Also the television was well packed with nostalgic movies , I really enjoyed the entertainment. Although the TV volume doesn’t go too loud , I guess it’s good respect to the neighbors some of who are long term tenants. 2) Service: Impeccable. The people here, although clearly overworked are so nice! The housekeepers are all so wonderful ! They were the ones who let me come back to a clean flat everyday , really it was a piece of home with a whole lot of help! For shampoos and conditioners and shower gel you would need to let the front desk know you need it, so please keep that in mind! 3) Breakfast: Just enough for survival , I’m quite particular about my tastes in food where the buffet options were too less and unfortunately not too tasty. But I was able to survive…I really hope they can fix this though cause the place although cheaper than others isn’t exactly cheap as well. If you want a good breakfast spread , you will be left heavily disappointed. There’s a lot of cost cutting the hotel group has done and it’s obvious…I hope Ascott takes this into consideration cause it’s not good to have better hotels around the world but keep smaller cities forgotten and tightly budgeted!! Suzhou is quite expensive than other cities due to the constant influx of tourists. I don’t usually write much for my reviews but In this case I seem to care after seeing the overworked hotel staff and the poor conditions around them. Come on Ascott do better. I initially was tempted to give a 3/5 review stars but it’s the people that pushed it up.

I recently stayed at this budget-friendly hotel, drawn by its affordable rates and convenient location just a 2-minute walk fromthe popular Tang Shan Street tourist spot. While the hotel was averagely clean, it lacked few amenities that travelers might expect. Communication was a bit challenging as the staff did not speak English, but they were friendly and did their best to assist. Overall, it's a decent optionfor those on a tight budget looking for a no-frills place to staynear the tourist attractions.

A good vacation experience. After a week's work, I drove 2 hours to Xishan KaNas on Friday night. Although it was already night, the boss greeted me warmly at the door, which was a bonus! Although the temperature dropped on the second day, the moment I opened the curtains was amazing. It was cold outside, but I could lie on the bed and watch the sunrise. It was so comfortable! Their yard is also a feature. You can feed seagulls and make tea around the stove. The photos are amazing. I didn't expect that there would be such a comfortable place in Shanghai's back garden. It's so beautiful! I will come again if I have the chance!

My hotel allocation was at the older building the hotel premise is quite a distance from entrance to the building but its fine. The room size is big toilet and shower separated (nice) their toilet equip with bidet spray and treatment thingy. Plus point Their breakfast selection was good The surrounding of the hotel has alot of cafe pubs and all if you want to stay near to famous tourist locations this might mot be the right hotel for you. I travel around with DiDi Hotel staff are friendly and polite

The hotel is neat and nicely designed. Love the room. My room has a window facing the garden located in the middle of the building. The window is kept open but has mosquito net on it, making the air flow in the room good. The breakfast is simple, not special but good enough. The only thing is that the hotel is not close to public transport, but online taxi (didi) is affordable in China, so not really a big deal.

Great location for me 15- 20 mins from the railway station and close to the industrial area. Room are spacious , great shower, good breakfast . Staff super nice and helpful. Housekeeping is really busy guess a bit understaffed at the moment For amenities unfortunately gym was under renovation and I booked it for this .. was a little disappointed but would deffo stay here again . Hope it’s finished next time Can order outside food delivery for dinner or there’s a Starbucks and a noodle place around the back of the adjoining building to the hotel .

Pros: Very good location for walking around Pingjiang road. Very handy Suzhou train station pick up service, would recommend utilising for anyone arriving by train. The room was spacious and the bed really comfortable. Cons: bathroom had a bad smell emanating from it. There was quite a lot of construction happening while we were there, started around 7am and didn’t finish until after midnight. Would recommend bringing ear buds. Shower pressure was ok but not amazing. There is also no elevator so you will need to climb one flight of stairs to reach the rooms which are all on the first floor.
