When visiting Suzhou, I recommend staying here. It’s close to the subway station and the pedestrian street downstairs is full of snacks, lemon tea, etc. It’s quite lively.
Hygiene: Public restrooms, see if you can accept it

One of the worst youth hostels I have ever stayed in. Men's and women's showers and toilets are all in the same room, so there is no privacy at all. The toilet was also very dirty.

There was even construction going on downstairs. It started at eight or nine in the morning, waking up everyone in the room.
