The hotel seamlessly blends traditional Chinese architectural elements reminiscent of Suzhou gardens. Public areas like the koi pond, lobby, and connecting corridors radiate the rich artistic charm of Jiangnan water towns. Boasting an excellent location right by Jinji Lake, the Jinji Lake walking trail is directly accessible from the hotel's back entrance. Our room offered spectacular views, with the 'Eye of Suzhou' (Ferris wheel) and 'Gate to the East' (skyscraper) visible right from the window. Even the room key cards were a thoughtful touch, featuring two distinct materials and design patterns. Our guest butler, Claire, delivered truly attentive and efficient service. She proactively contacted me before check-in. As we were celebrating an anniversary, she went the extra mile by decorating our room and surprising us with complimentary red wine and a small cake. She also helped us secure reservations for the 'Eye of Suzhou' and Xizhou Xuan restaurant. Any issues we encountered were also handled with remarkable promptness. Breakfast was a delightful experience, offering a wide selection with both a semi-buffet and à la carte options. The stir-fried prawns and water shield soup we tried at Xizhou Xuan were exceptionally delicious!

The hotel boasts an elegant setting, ideally located in the heart of Suzhou's Jinji Lake area, just a stone's throw from the Ferris Wheel. A special thank you to the front desk for the complimentary room upgrade. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service was impeccable. The hotel is stunning, day or night. While it may not be a brand-new property, it is exceptionally well-maintained, and the amenities are from well-known, quality brands. This was a truly satisfying choice, and I look forward to returning.

Ambiance: The hotel's design aesthetic is truly remarkable, seamlessly blending Suzhou garden elements with modern design. The public areas are adorned with fresh flowers, showcasing meticulous attention to detail, and the large koi pond is a particularly delightful sight. Even the standard room types are quite pleasant. Facilities: The swimming pool area offers steam and dry saunas, and the overall setting is acceptable. However, the pool itself is very small, and it was often crowded with children. The water quality was just average, and the changing room layout was confusing, making it difficult to find towels. Hygiene in the changing rooms was also mediocre. The locker area appeared disorganized, and I didn't feel my belongings were very secure. Breakfast: Breakfast was excellent. There are two separate dining areas on the first floor, each offering different selections. For a wider variety of dishes, I'd suggest the larger Chinese restaurant area, while the smaller one is perfect if you prefer a quieter atmosphere.
