Our trip to Suzhou was way more memorable thanks to this amazing accommodation! Our big family from the youngests to the oldests were very impressed by how spacious and beautiful this house is. All of us were upgraded to bigger rooms than the ones we booked, some even had private courtyard/ corridor and each room was given such a beautiful name "Looking at the rain", "Waiting for the moon", "The faraway scent"... This ancient house has beautiful features that were elegantly preserved while modern touches such as huge screen TV, smart toilette, and good lighting system make it more relevant and convenient. There's a lot of info on this house's long history displayed around - one more reason to admire it. What a good example of preserving and embracing cultural values! Eventhough there was a significant language barrier, thr staffs were really really generous, supportive, warm, and lovely just like the big breakfast meals they prepared for us every day. We hardly find any reason not to choose this place again the next time we come back to Suzhou!

This minsu really still keeping the old building. Cleanliness are good, and especially the staffs, very very very good service and friendly. I would like to applaus for all of the staffs including cleaners. The cleaner even cooked us noodle during typhoon day without charging us any extra fees because we couldnt go out to get food and the food delivery also stopped because of the typhoon strikes. Everyone there are really nice and great! Big round of applaus!

The location of the hotel Is great, unfortunately the room was not cleaned well. Breakfast was disappointing. All in all it's an ok establishment, but given the high price it cannot get a good rating. Not worth the price, pictures online are creating false expectations.

the location was convenient. It's within walking distance to the famous interests. It has a charming look from the pictures, but This hotel has really old facilities. It was a nightmare to stay at the hotel. The toilet bowl wouldn't flush. The first night we had this issue and we were told not to put any toilet paper in the toilet bowl, yes, any toilet paper. They claimed that they fixed the toilet issue the next day. however, after a long day outside of sightseeing, we went back to the hotel, and found out that the toilet still wouldn't flush even though we didn't put any toilet paper in. Could you imagine having a filthy toilet that wouldn't flush!! espcially during the vacation! It was a horrible experience. I would never come back to this hotel and actually I hope Trip.com can take actions to have this hotel provide truthful and upfront description of their plumbing/sewage issues and they need to fix this issue.
I hope other people can see this review to avoid having a nightmare during their vacation.

Great location, friendly staff, beautiful room with our own courtyard. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was very comfortable as well. The breakfast was great. The only comment is that we would have preferred to have a door on the toilet instead of a thin curtain.

The courtyard is close to Pingjiang Road, Humble Administrator's Garden. The environment is quiet and unique, the guest rooms are clean and elegant, and the service is warm and thoughtful. It is very convenient to call a car. The Didi car that sends guests to Humble Administrator's Garden is waiting 100 meters in front and will arrive as soon as you call it.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in, with a truly affordable price and significant pluses.
The location couldn't have been better: to get to the Suzhou Museum and the Humble Administrator Garden it's a 7 minute walk, to Pingjianlu about ten or so.
The hotel itself is wonderful: clean, rich in history, with all the comforts and a very kind staff that makes themselves understood with translation apps. They kept our bags even after check-in and helped carry them to the room and out even if we didn't ask.
I will recommend it to everyone!
