The room was perfect, the tub was great! It was cleaned daily and breakfast was great. The location was ideal and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

GOOD.--'> This place was in a really great location nearby a very vibey shopping area and a short 20 min walk from a beautiful historic area with Chinese gondolas on the canals. The room we stayed had all the standard amenities and a clean and comfortable bed. The bathtub was also clean and the bathroom shower worked well and a toilet bidet with heated seat! The staff was friendly and greeted us warmly with a small gift basket and showed us to our room. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT-> the place is a bit difficult to find because the business below the hotel sign is closed we initially thought the business had closed (this happens in China more often than you think) but turns out, the entrance was a small door (not well noted or lit) off to the side. The room we stayed in was decaying ( it's clear this hotel doesn't focus on maintenance of their infrastructure). The bar in our room wasn't connected. It was just sitting on top of the wall same with the sink area. The walls had lots of water damage and peeling yellowing paint (walls are originally eggshell white) My wife also got a small spider bite on our 2nd night in the hotel ( which isn't a big deal) but maybe the hotel manager should consider hiring an exterminator. All considered though I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers and I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful facilities and great location! Happy with the hotel and would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Also it’s foreigner friendly so that’s a plus!

The location was ideal to access some of the places to explore. Very clean and very good service upon entering to good house keeping.

This was such a nice hotel and the owner is very kind. Unfortunately, I cannot speak Chinese, but we understood each other through a translator and hand gestures. I was concerned it would be noisy because a family came and stayed, but it was really quiet at night and I slept very well. The breakfast was really good and simple. It's more than enough to keep you going and if you are an ovo-vegetarian like myself you will find the breakfast more than suitable. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to come in and be in the heart of downtown Suzhou.
