Jiangnan House Changyuan

The accommodation is really pretty and comfortable! The architecture of the hotel is really remarkable and while the location is a little off from the main shopping areas and attractions, the train station is only a short walk away from the hotel. The service is also amazing and the staff made sure that we were well taken care of! Shoutout to our 管家小涵who really went up and beyond to make our stay comfortable

I stayed in You Xiong Superior suite. Room was huge and clean. All amenities were available . Minibar drinks were free flow and daily snacks , fruits and even desert for supper was free. The gardens in the hotel was beautiful especially when lighted up at night. It’s very relaxing to sit and relax there. Staff service was very good and friendly. Special commendation to Xiao Luo 小罗 for her friendly and helpful ways. She will always greet you with a warm smile and cheerful greeting whenever she sees you. It makes your stay so pleasant and enjoyable. A few small and minor downside to Jiangnan House Changyuan was the in-house restaurant only serves a set menu for dinner. There was no ala carte menu and breakfast choices were limited to either a Chinese or western set. There are also no nearby restaurants. There is a family mart 10” miles walk from the hotel. The lane where the hotel is situated is rather narrow with cars parked on the side. Most cars have difficulty reaching the hotel and you will need to walk about 100m with your luggage to the hotel. However the hotel can fetch you in a golf buggy. In summary, if you wish to experience what it’s like to stay in an olden typical Chinese residence with a garden, this hotel is it.

Hotel is built into an old Suzhou property and is beautifully appointed. It truly is a place of peace and tranquility. Heating in the first floor rooms leaves much to be desired. Service is cordial but not warm, and therefore while very professional, feels somewhat lacking in sincerity.

Amazing cultural stay among the historical site of Suzhou! Changyuan 畅圆 is really beautiful and nothing beats experiencing Suzhou than staying within one of the rare classical gardens (园林). Booked the Deluxe Room and loved the privacy and garden view. Absolutely loved the amenities too — from TOTO bathroom fittings to Dyson hairdryer, everything exceeded expectations. Only downside is that it’s pretty far from attractions and it’s quite a walk to the main road. Will be great if you’re looking to stay away from the ccrowd and prefers a more peaceful and quiet location. The staff are warm, friendly and very helpful too, thanks so much 小姚 and 小马!
