Suzhou Gusu District 5-star Hotels

The free hanfu experience was disappointing. There was no enthusiasm or any attempt to promote the services. Initially I was keen on the add-on make-up experience but did not have the confidence to take it up seeing the lack of motivation from the service staff, who were busy on their phones most of the time. We had breakfast at the Rui noodle house. The food was so-so compared to everything else we tried in Suzhou. However i am rating Pan Pacific 5 stars as the above are not directly controlled (I assume) by the hotel. The hotel’s service staff were warm and helpful. They arranged for a room with a fantastic view of the Panmen Scenic Area. Also, we received a surprise dessert/birthday treat in the room with a sweet note. Derrick at the front desk was especially helpful and proactive with solving a payment issue we had with food delivery and arranging for late checkout. Thank you! We also appreciate the tickets and access to the Panmen area. It was super lovely to enjoy all it had to offer at a leisurely pace without the crowds at some other scenic areas. All in all a wonderful stay and we would be most confident to recommend Pan Pacific Suzhou to family and friends.

The hotel is well located in the heart of Gusu district. There are many busy streets around with clothing stores and restaurants. The hotel itself is large. The check in was pleasant, as was checking out. There are some English speaking staff if speaking Chinese is not possible. We stayed in the Premier Queen room, which was completely fine. Comfy bed, working appliances. The only issue was that the tap in the sink was leaking for our whole stay. We probably should have brought it up. The pool is nice, a 5th floor open deck area. Unfortunately, it is only open after 4:30pm. They have a pretty decent gym, as far as wanting to exercise while staying in a hotel goes anyway. Fair to say we would gladly stay again if we chose to go back to Suzhou.

Zhuhui Hotel, the first Kimpton hotel in the mainland, has been attracting much attention since its opening. This time I finally had the opportunity to stay and experience it. The whole process is also very wonderful. I would like to thank Lisa for her hard work in helping us arrange check-in. Not only did she help us upgrade to the courtyard waterscape with a great view, but she also gave us welcome fruits and desserts. Even though it was Lisa's day off during our stay, she still took good care of us. We make the whole check-in process very smooth. An excellent hotel is inseparable from the high-quality service of the staff. The staff of the entire hotel, whether it is restaurants, bars or guest rooms, are very friendly and kind. This is probably the feeling of being at home.

This hotel is amazing. They have English speaking staff. The breakfast is good. I booked a premier room with a view but they upgraded me to an executive suite for free.

After checking in to the Xiangqu Twin Room booked in advance, the front desk upgraded me to a Superior Twin Room. The overall feeling was great! All details are in place, including complimentary tea and afternoon tea. When we first arrived at the hotel, it was very inconvenient that our mobile phones were out of battery and could not be turned on. When the luggage storage attendant in the lobby found out, he took out a spare charger and immediately solved the problem. He also took our luggage and led us to the designated room (I'm sorry that I didn't remember which one, thank you very much! ) The room is clean and tidy, there are complimentary sachets on the bedside table, fruits are delivered by the waiter in the evening, and there are guzheng and pipa performances in the lobby. Breakfast is a buffet with a full range of options, combining Chinese and Western styles, and the Soviet-style pastries are delicious! We have an appointment to visit Nanyuan. Xiao Guo led us to introduce the architecture, humanities, and history of Nanyuan in detail. It was very rewarding! The location of the hotel is very good. It is easy to get in and out. Shiquan Street is right out the door. It is very close to Master of the Nets Garden. The night view is beautiful when you walk in the backyard for dinner!

The hotel is in the city center, and it is very convenient to go to Yuanlin Shantang Street by subway and bus. The lobby is very grand, the waiters are warm and polite, and Manager Jia's friendliness is very impressive. Thank you for introducing the travel route. I will stay at Suzhou Jinling Yadu Hotel next time I come to Suzhou.

I brought my kids to Suzhou and stayed at this hotel. The location is very good. Pingjiang Road, Lion Grove, and Humble Administrator's Garden are all very close and can be reached on foot. The environment of the hotel is very good, the garden landscape is very beautiful, and there are many books in the hotel with a bookish style. The staff provided good service. They called one day in advance to ask if you were driving and informed you of the restrictions on foreign license plates. When I returned to the room at night, they provided a piece of fruit. When I got up in the morning, I called to ask for two bottles of water, and they delivered warm water, which I thought was very good. The breakfast was OK, just average.

This is the first time I write a ✍️ review. We arrived at the hotel at 9pm, and the hotel even gave me an extra breakfast coupon for a child. I am very grateful to the hotel for its generosity. When you go out of the hotel, turn right and you will see Pingjiang Road, which is just a few steps away. It's 100m away. It's very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden, the Lion Grove and the Suzhou Museum. The Pipa Museum and Pingtan are also not far away. It's a great place to bring your children. It's quite convenient. You can spend two or three days in Suzhou. Here, my dad felt that the hotel restaurant was the most satisfying meal he had. The pickled cucumbers are definitely the best in cold dishes. The breakfast in the hotel was also pretty good 👍 Overall it was pretty good!

I chose to stay at Artyzen Suzhou this time because I had a good impression of Artyzen Macau, and I saw that the hotel just opened in 2023, so I wanted to experience it. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic on the day I checked in, and she even upgraded me to a suite. I quickly entered the room by swiping my card. The room is large and has a strong sense of design. The overall decoration style is simple and practical. Some details are very pleasant, such as the plush slippers provided, which are perfect for this season. However, maybe because of the large number of guests during the holidays, I felt that the entire room was not very clean. From the desktop to the floor, from the bathroom floor tiles to the floor drain in the shower area, it was not the hygienic environment that a hotel of this level should have. After looking at it a little bit, The comments resonated with me, and I hope Suzhou Artchen can improve its hardware and software services so that it can truly stay and stay new.

I have to say that this hotel makes people have a better impression of Suzhou. The building was formerly the former residence of Wang, wife of Pan Zuyin, an important minister of the late Qing Dynasty. The location wins, ”a Pingjiang Road, half of Suzhou City”. Staying here is like living in the ancient city. You can find delicious food and fun when you go out. The cart selling rice cakes is right in front of the hotel. If you don't pay attention, you will find popular cafes and Internet-famous snacks. It only takes ten minutes to walk along Pingjiang Road to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Subo. Pingjiang Road is too busy, but staying here can feel the tranquility of the old street in the early morning. The soft light is perfect for taking pictures. Favorite details: The door key is very unique, and the white disc is the sensing area. Floor heating throughout the house, adjustable light sensitivity throughout the house, touch desk lamps, automatic sensor night lights, and wireless charging for mobile phones. The water purification system from the high-end series of Culligan in the United States, the tea table can freely switch the water temperature between 0-95 degrees, and there is no need to wait if you need different water temperatures. It can be said that the function is as modern as the decoration is ancient. I booked a Garden Room king bed and was lucky enough to get an upgrade to a deluxe king bed when I checked in, which gave me a lot more space. Snacks and fruits were prepared in the room in advance, and there was a turndown service. After returning to the room at night, hot white fungus soup was delivered. The group purchase package includes tea making by the fire and Hanfu experience. After dressing up in the Gusu small building next to me, I went downstairs and saw the teapot on the stove was already chugging... drinking tea, taking photos, and watching the bustling people on the other side of the river, it was so relaxing. Breakfast was very satisfying. The red soup noodles are toppings of braised pork and river shrimp. There are porridge, small wontons, soup, steamer dumplings, siomai, steamed cakes... The only thing is that the coffee is a bit overwhelming. The service was excellent. I made several inquiries and reservation calls before checking in, and my attitude was very patient. I found that the charging head part was stuck in the charging port of my mobile phone late at night. I asked the front desk for a toothpick to deal with it. After a while, a toothpick and a bent paper clip were delivered, which was quite considerate. One night in this hotel is not enough. I don’t want to check out, I don’t want to go home.
