"We stayed here as a family of three (mother and two daughters).
We were greeted politely when we arrived at the parking lot by car.
The food was also very delicious. The portions were just right for the women, but perhaps not enough for the men.
The room and bedding were clean, and all the staff were kind, so we didn't have any unpleasant experiences or inconveniences during our stay.
It was an inn that I would like to stay at again when I visit Suwa."
"Extremely satisfying hotel.
In the area of Shanghai, this hot spring hotel is considered one of the highest.
First of all, the environment of the independent small courtyard is very elegant, and all 8 rooms are facing the beautiful lake view, especially the beautiful scenery under the sunset, which is really pleasing to the eye.
Secondly, the room is not only large, but also has a separate hot spring pool. Everything in the room is fine, and it is no problem to come here empty-handed. Toiletries, razors, various skin care and hair products, all have. You can also go to the mixed bath hot springs on the top floor of the 6th floor. The idea here is very chic, when entering the hot spring, men and women must wear a special clothes, similar to swimsuits.
Again, each room has a separate dining room, and walk past it for three seconds.
Then there is a local bar on the ground floor that offers locally produced sake.
Finally, walking across the small road is to visit the lake, and you can walk to the station in 8 minutes, which is really convenient. There are many restaurants around, no need to worry."
"This is the most comfortable and fragrant night of self-driving sleep on the 7th in Japan. The pillows are suitable for the height, the quilt is comfortable, and the meal is very delicate. My mother likes it very much."

"The hotel is right by the lake, near the railway station, about seven or eight minutes on foot, the environment is very good, I really like the hotel's hot springs. I have experienced both the private and the open air on the top floor. The Japanese breakfast and dinner are good, and I will stay here next time I have the opportunity."
"Location is great, it is just on the main road and by the lake. I remember there was a Lawon convenient store not far away when we drove past. We stayed there for 1 night.
I highly doubt if we were given the wrong room type, as I booked a room that can see the full Suwa Lake, but the room we have got is at the corner. It is because of the cherry blossom season, there are so many mosquitos outside so we couldn't open any window. According to the information provided by the hotel, the mosquitos don't bite human, but create stains on clothings.
Anyway, the room has a private onsen. It was quite small, and look a bit old. The water is very hot, though I couldn't smell any sulfur so it is not a real hot spring. As the windows can't be opened, so it is a quite stuffy inside the bathroom. The room has equipped with all amenities, but no bottled water. The hotel mentioned the water is drinkable from the tab. The room is quite clean and spacious. The mattress is quite nice, it was good for taking a rest after a whole day trip. We chose the meal package (breakfast and dinner). They were both Japanese style with a lot of dishes and options. Food is great. Nagano is not a place that produces meat, so mainly there are a lot of vegetables.
With the price we paid for, the hotel services, food and everything is quite reasonable. However, the hotel is a bit old. Nothing is special other than providing a clean room to sleep."
"I stayed here on a business trip.
It is located close to Suwa Interchange on the Chuo Expressway.
The room was clean and spacious.
There is also a loft-style bed.
The windows in the guest rooms can be opened slightly for ventilation."
"It’s very close to JR Kamosuwa Station, about a five-minute walk
It's also very close to the lakeside park, about a five-minute walk
The rooms are very clean and well-equipped. The yukatas in the rooms are also nice. Japanese-style rooms on high floors should be more comfortable.
The large bath is on the third floor. There is an open-air hot spring. After soaking, you can drink the local specialty fruit forest liquid.
Breakfast is in the form of a set meal plus a small amount of buffet. The variety is very rich, very Japanese
During this stay, it was found that the residents were mainly Japanese elderly people, and no foreign tourists were seen at all."

AAnonymous UserAfter exiting Kamisuwa Station, turn right and walk straight for about 10 meters. There is a lift to the overpass. After exiting, walk to the west exit. It takes 5 minutes to reach the hotel. We went the wrong way the first time. We turned left after exiting the station and walked for more than ten minutes before reaching the hotel.
Hotel facilities: The room is very large and faces the lake. It is very beautiful. The hotel itself is like a large courtyard, very beautiful. It is said that there are private rooms on the 4th and 6th floors. The hotel has amber indoor and outdoor hot springs.
Hotel catering: This time I booked two nights of dinner and added breakfast after arriving at the hotel. The dinner was very exquisite. I was full after eating one dish after another, but the salmon in the sashimi on the first night was not completely thawed, which was a bit of a loss; the breakfast was relatively simple, a set meal (our morning included a piece of freshly fried salmon) with a little salad, and a self-service drink, 2200 yen/person.
Hotel service: Very enthusiastic, someone greeted me at the hotel gate, and a Chinese-speaking guy at the front desk helped to receive and introduce me until I was delivered to the room. The luggage was delivered to the room during check-in.
Hotel facilities: There is a sightseeing boat across the street, a place for fishing on the lake and a place for bicycle rental. Unfortunately, it was windy on the two days we went there, so it was closed. There is a convenience store across the road. The nearest drugstore is across the train station, but it does not offer tax refunds.
In general, this is a quiet place for a vacation. I personally think it may be more comfortable to come here when the spring is warm and the flowers are blooming. The lakeside is not so cold, and you can walk slowly along the lakeside.
GGuest UserThis is the place where I studied abroad before. It was my first time staying here on a business trip. The environment was very good and the hotel's local specialties were also very cheap.
JJINYANNice old hotel with windows facing Lake Suwa. The photo is the view looking out. It is about ten minutes' walk from Shangsuwa Station, which is acceptable to children. There is an eel rice nearby that is very delicious. It's a few intersections to the south.
AAnonymous UserWe stayed in a twin room. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a large desk and comfortable chair, so remote work was also possible. The cups and toothbrushes provided were in different colors, black for my husband and white for me, which was a small thing but a nice touch that showed the hotel staff's consideration. Of course, we were also satisfied with the breakfast and hot springs. This quality at a reasonable price is highly recommended. If we come to Suwa again, we will stay here!
GGuest UserI had trouble returning home due to the heavy rain from the typhoon, so I decided to stay at this hotel on short notice. I made a reservation online and checked in 15 minutes later. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the parking lot attendant was very kind to me. I'd like to come again.
GGuest UserThe building itself is old, so there are some problems with the facilities, but the staff are friendly and the location of the building is great. I go out on my bicycle from the hotel and spend time with my family around Lake Suwa. The breakfast was also very clean and satisfying.
GGuest UserThe location was easy to find, right at the intersection after getting off the interchange.
There was no place to shop nearby, so it would have been nice to have a convenience store and a simple map inside the store.
GGuest UserThe location is very good. It is two or three minutes away from the station. Although the waiters do not understand English, they try their best to communicate. There is no separate bathroom in the room, but there is a wash basin to wash your face and brush your teeth. The hot spring water does not seem to be a real hot spring. There is no sulphur smell. When you take a bath. There are many Chinese and English menus in the restaurants there. The waiters don't know how to speak English. They have pictures to see pictures, no pictures, and what to eat next to the Japanese.
