I reviewed this hotel in 2017 (I gave it a 1 with a list of reasons) and it would appear that very little has changed. How can it be allowed to still operate?

This place has so much potential. Our family suite was large and the balcony looked over the wharf - which was really interesting. The staff were lovely. However there is no attention to ambiance. the place is stuffed with old decaying chairs and there is junk everywhere. The sheets were stained but clean. I am mindful that we weren't paying top dollar.

Possibly the worst experience I've had regarding accomodation. Where do I start? Dirty, smelly, dark and putrid. Don't bother raising any concwerns with the staff, they'll make it about something else be totally unresponsive. I don't know how this place survives- DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE. It's like entering a twilightzone.

It wasn’t what I paid for.( Over paid for crap) It wasn’t up to expectations. The place was run down. Things was falling apart. The place smelt and was very dirty and unhygienic. Had cockroaches running around. Things didn’t work properly.( Lift to go to upper level) Very unorganised with presentation of place. This is one place I would not recommend. Surprised people would stay there??

De Vos is very centrally located in the centre of capital city Suva. Many shops, eateries, restaurants, food courts and wet market are within walking distance. Most convenient to go catch a city bus or long distance bus (for instance to Nadi Airport) at the bus terminal. All rooms have ocean view, those on one side enjoy the Sukuna Park view, the others on the other side Suva City view and Harbour view. The building was formerly YWCA Hotel, therefore rather old and dated, and the hotel is constantly under renovation and repairs. Hence guests may need to exercise patience. Internet is provided on request especially for guests staying for business.

This is not worth online booking, may be for locals walk in ok and decide if it’s what you wanted but not for online.
I can’t pay $50 to stay in this apartment if I knew the conditions at hand.
The location is good but the facilities need 100% renovation or reconstruction.
It was a terrible experience staying here, I couldn’t sleep all night that I have to engaged myself with calls and games

Located in the city center and next to Mcdonald, so it is convenient.
It is located in an old property, but the room is clean and acceptable.
Howecer, the security could be a concern as there is no restriction on entering the building, everyone can just walk by and go in.
But considering the average hotel price in Suva, especially those branded, this will be a reasonable choice for budget travllers.

Nice hospitality Staffs are really helpful and attentive Great sea view and lights during the night Rooms are so comfy and clean Carpark also provided with security Plus it's in the heart of Suva If you want to hit down the club just 2 mins away and if you want too grab something eat near the entrance you can get Mac Donald's and during the night you can get fresh BBQ
