The accommodation's convenient location near event venues and downtown Tamworth is ideal for business trips. Guests appreciate the polite and helpful staff. The breakfast, though tasty, received mixed reviews on egg taste.

Wouldn’t recommend. There was a Christmas party and people were making noise outside of our room till 3am. The heating wasn’t working so the room was cold.

It was very close to where we had to go for an event that went very late, so that worked well. We were able to get a family room (3) and the area around the hotel was beautiful. Sadly, we REALLY didn't like having the fire alarm go off at 5:55am due to someone boiling their kettle under a sensor (which is what we were told) and then again at 8am on a Sunday. We had been to a party the night before and were exhausted. I appreciate that our safety is important to the hotel, but the hotel did not offer any good will gesture on their part for this inconvenience.

Walked into the reception, no receptionist just an A4 piece of paper with a mobile phone number saying ring for attention there was a hand set on the counter but that didn’t work with no mobile signal inside I had to call from the car park not the best of greetings. We were given our room key number 23 and directed towards a staircase at the side of the bar. The corridors were dark , narrow with a damp fusty odour. Opening the room door was like opening a window to the 1940s/50s and it looked like the room had not been decorated since that period. The wallpaper was peeling there was open cracks in the wall and ceiling, the bathroom again looked like it had not been painted since the 50s the shelf had flaking paint the toilet roll holder was broken and rusting the plug for the washing basin had a hole in it?. We were woken by the fire alarm sounding at 05:45 we evacuated our room and made our way to the assembly point what a farce people were just milling around there was not a member of staff in sight to take a roll call it was evident that not all guests had evacuated the hotel after 15 minutes we were told it was a false alarm probably due to someone smoking in their room the alarm went off again at 08:35 again no one evacuated the hotel. On the plus side the bar staff and waiting staff were spot on Unfortunately this hotel failed to impress we will be giving this a very wide berth in the future.

We booked this hotel last minute and lady on phone was very helpful and sorted us a ‘family room’ as we are 2 adults and 1 child stating that our son would have a proper bed rather than a z bed. We don’t arrive until approx 9.30pm, as had been with friends all day, and lady on the front desk was polite and informative. On walking to our room we commented on how cold the corridors were and, sadly, our room was no different. There was a tiny electrical heater in the corner (not suitable for the room size) and half the buttons were broken. We called reception asking for an electrical heater of some sort but she said they didn’t have any due to safety reasons, however, she did bring us up some blankets. We went to bed with clothes on as well as PJs due to it being so cold. I was awake until 3.30am which is when it actually started to warm up and able to nod off. There was also a continuous vibrating/humming noise similar to a generator which was also making it hard to sleep. Mattress exceptionally old and could feel every spring in your back, need replacing. Bathroom - was even colder than the bedroom and we were told to keep the door shut due to setting off the fire alarm when having a shower. The shower pressure was ok but was very hard to have a shower if you’re over 3ft in height. Shower gel and hand soap provided. There was nowhere to hang anything, not even the hand towel provided. Restaurant was also quite chilly and one lady was serving which meant things took a while. Toast, cereal selection and juices available to help yourself. Cooked breakfast was ordered if you wanted it. Tea and coffee to order to. Check out - ironically the desk wasn’t manned and a box to leave your key so no opportunity to discuss problems. Afraid we will not be returning as wasn’t even value for money!

Probably pound for pound the worst hotel I've stayed at, yes I've stayed in worse hotels but not that have cost £150 a night for B&B. We had our "all inclusive" works Christmas do here & it was so poor in was laughable. There wasn't sufficient room for our party which was a result of the storm that evening BUT could have been sorted much better. The inclusive drinks package had some strange restriction & the bar was stocked to a budget which when items ran out they weren't replenished. The meal resembled a poor school dinner the majority of which was served cold. There was no wine on the tables & tea & coffee wasn't served after the meal. Our room looked like it hadn't been decorated for forty years & was freezing cold on arrival & the following morning. We didn't even bother going for breakfast due to the poor performance the previous evening & by all accounts for the people that did go we made the right choice. Anyone reading this please be mindful of your expectations if considering booking here as I'm certain I won't be returning anytime soon

Myself and my now husband had just the most amazing wedding day at Brook Marston Farm Hotel. Nicola and all the staff made us and every single one of our treasured guests feel welcome and comfortable. The venue was absolutely perfect, we had the freedom to make the space our own with our autumnal/halloween theme. The food was delicious, everything ran so smoothly. Every one of our guests have raved about the venue, the service, the food, everything. The rooms are all spacious, clean and cosy. The breakfasts are wonderful. Even our celiac guests had a truly yummy time. I cannot recommend this place enough. The location is very convenient, I had guests coming from very near and VERY far and no one had any trouble. There's loads of parking, and the outside spaces are beautiful. We had photos going down the track, by some huge trees, and of course on the canal which is accessed from their site. Their DJ was great, everyone danced the night away. It's a spacious yet intimate place, with lots of squishy sofas tucked away here and there. It's rustic, warm and very comfortable. Cannot recommend enough. We loved the whole experience, from finding this gem to packing up the next day. Thank you so so much to everyone involved.

Looking for somewhere different to go for our annual Christmas party, I found Marston Farm. It definitely didn’t disappoint! Food was excellent and the portions were very generous. Great atmosphere in there and all the staff were lovely. Will definitely go again.
