The Planet Munnar

I stayed with my family at The Planet Munnar for a couple of days in September, and it was easily one of the most premium resort experiences we've had in the region. Nestled in Suryanelli, far from the hustle and bustle of central Munnar, the property offers a tranquil retreat surrounded by breath-taking natural beauty. The resort is immaculately maintained and thoughtfully designed, blending aesthetic charm with modern comfort. It’s located on the lesser-explored yet stunning side of the Munnar–Idukki region, making it ideal for travelers seeking serenity and scenic richness. Nearby attractions include the iconic Kolukkumalai, Phantom Hills, and Anairankal Dam, all accessible ***** the Munnar–Bodimettu highway. Our room overlooked lush tea plantations and rolling hills, and came with a balcony that made views truly memorable. The room was very spacious & well maintained with an ample sized bathroom in comparison to traditional sized hotel rooms. The food was consistently delicious, and every meal felt homely yet refined. The hospitality deserves special mention. The staff were unfailingly polite and responsive, and the property offers thoughtful amenities like a kids’ playroom, swimming pool, campfire evenings, and even a guided trek to Phantom Hills for sunset view—included as part of the package. A heartfelt thanks to Vineesh, who manages the property with genuine care and attention. His personal involvement ensured that every guest’s needs were met with warmth and efficiency. We also had the pleasure of meeting Sunny Sir, the owner, whose kind gesture of checking in on our comfort added a personal touch to the experience. By the end of our stay, we were left wishing for more time—and without a doubt, The Planet Munnar will be our go-to destination for future visits to Munnar.

Worth for cost. All staffs are friendly. Excellent view rooms and balcony.. self driving to reach the place but difficult but worth the claim I would love to visit again

Property location is really good, in lap of nature. Evening hiking to sunset point is usp. Food options are limited, but they customized the food as per kids' taste. Really useful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at planet munnar and highly recommend this place.

Resort is very luxurious, beautiful. Foods are excellent due to shortage of staff and being new one room service requires to be improved.

The resort offers the best view with comfortable and spacious rooms with clean bathrooms and a balcony. You don't have to worry about the food. You don't need to go or search for other restaurants. The food prepared by the chef is delicious and comforting. Overall, a very relaxing and comfortable stay.

The location is amazing with beautiful views of plantation from balcony. The balcony is big and spacious. The room is also good and spacious. Also, jeep safari to kolukkmalai is available from hotel. Hotel staff is gentle and cordial.
