ZZe-BWe stayed in a private room at Casavia Siargao and had a great experience overall. The room was spacious, with a comfy bed and pillows that ensured restful nights. The hostel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive vibe of the place. The hostel offers some great spaces for chilling out and socializing, which we appreciated after long days of exploring. During our stay, the island was experiencing a three-week-long power cut. Thankfully, the hostel had a generator and used it on a schedule, which helped make the situation manageable. There’s a construction site adjacent to the hostel, but it didn’t really affect us since we were out during the day, and work had usually finished by the time we returned. Overall, Casavia Siargao provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, even under challenging circumstances. We’d recommend it to anyone visiting the island and looking for a friendly and relaxed place to stay.

GGuest UserThe location was better than some others, at least its road to Tourism Road (the main high street) is fully paved, you need to need to walk through muds during raining seasons. The facility is basic and sufficient, the team can focus more on the toilet hyenine. Really great that they have a swimming pool (and they are clean). However, you will hear the motorbikes running up and down in the evenings (may need to improve on the soundproof windows).

SSebastianTitle: A Home Away from Home at Dahun Villa I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dahun Villa, and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa boasts a serene atmosphere and a unique architecture that utilizes indigenous materials, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the beautiful surroundings of Siargao. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, were the gracious owners and their attentive staff. The German owner was able to connect with my fiancé on a personal level, while the local owner shared our passion for sports, such as freediving. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home, and they even went above and beyond by introducing us to their friends who are business owners in Siargao. Dahun Villa's immaculate rooms and facilities were another highlight of our stay, providing the perfect space to unwind and recharge. Their adorable little ”Peter Parker” kiddo also brought a delightful energy to the place. Our experience at Dahun Villa not only inspired us to explore more of Siargao's beauty but also to consider setting up our own business to prolong our stay on this enchanting island. The connections we made with local business owners during our stay will be invaluable as we pursue this dream. If you're looking for a tranquil, welcoming retreat on Siargao, I highly recommend a stay at Dahun Villa.

EEthanReally good but walls are paper thin so you will hear every word from neighbors and only salt water available. Big plus from drinking water station and actually working AC!

SsherbearStayed for 2 nights. The staff was pretty helpful. The rooms were adequate. The amenities is sufficient but could improve otherwise. Biggest drawback was it's location. The hotel is pretty far from the city centre. Just prepare to have your lunch in and dinn at the hotel as some delivery doesn't go all the way from the city to the hotel address. The pool was well maintained. The beach front is all murky and muddy. The shoreline was limited and was more rocky than sandy. They had a dinner entertainment the night we checked in but the singer informed us that it was more of a weekend gig. The sheets weren't changed on the 2nd night of our stay. The room was very spacious which was a plus. You would have to book premium rooms to get the sealine view otherwise you'll be stuck with a dead end wall. The room was spacious enough to fit 2 queen beds but the booking would only allow 2 persons when it could fit 4. You would have to pay extra for the ”extra bed”. It's strongest suit would probably be it's staff and it's worst is it's location. Also I think they should have a service that can transport guests from almont butuan to surigao. I would have paid extra for that.

KKinkin92The hotel is located quite in rhe center, 10 min walk from General luna center area. The hotel spot is amazing and well designed from the outside, i really felt in the middle of the jungle with very cozy and chill vibe. But, and a big but!! The interior of the cabins is old and not well maintained . When i arrived to the hotel they told me that they “upgraded” my stay, and put me in a family cabin of 2 floors (not comfortable at all cause the beds are upstairs and the stairs are very stiff). There was an horibble smell of sewers from the shower and the sink, just luck i had my own incense so i put it on every time i took a shower. Moreover, the lightning in the cabin is very poor, and mostly in the bathroom area. During the night i had lots of noices from the roof, like some animal is trying to come inside- which made me worried and get scared of going back to sleep. Also, the cabin is not sealed and i got tones of mosquitoes bites all over my body. Staff is nice but everything takes long time until its done. Overall - the place is very nice and the property itself is located in great spot! With very nice, relaxing and chill vibes. But i wouldnt recommend to stay in this place due to the lack of maintenance.

AAnonymous UserYou get what you pay for. If you want a budget accommodation with privacy and don't want to stay with a hostel, this is an option. Okay naman location since it is along Tourism Road. The downside is walang masyadong kainan na malapit kapag lumabas ka kaya need mo magtricycle palagi everytime gusto mo kumain. Kaya they also offer free breakfast kasi wala ka nga naman makakainan sa labas na malapit. 6:40am start ng breakfast nila tas yung babaeng assistant wala man lang urgency na ihanda agad at 7am pa magsisimula magluto. Lol. The worst part is yung pinapatay nila yung breaker ng electricty kapag tanghali (kasi inaassume nila na walang tao sa room) kaya minsan sobrang init kapag nagstay ka sa don. So need mo pa sila tanungin kung brownout ba or pinatay lang nila breaker tas tsaka nila bubuksan ulit. Lol. I suggest wag na kayo magstay dito and mas better kung makahanap kayo ng accom along Town Hall para malapit sa kaninan. Note that they collect a key deposit of 100pesos which wag ka na umasa na mababalik. Since all departure flights sa Siargao ay umaga and tulog pa sila around 5am then yung main house is nakalock so I guess yung 100pesos na kinolect is parang payment na rin sa key duplication so if ever na matapat din kayo sa ganung situation eh wag niyo ng iwan sa room yung susi at itapon niyo nalang.

SSwaterfieldMy goals for this holiday trip was peace and quiet away from any crowds, and I got just that here. The island is really remote, so be prepared for that. It took a 1.5 hour boat ride from Sairgao to reach the resort but once here, it was super relaxing. The resort itself is dated but still comfortable. The bed slept well and the over the water hit had the best view of the cove 24hr a day. In the room, you have a fridge for items that you bring with you, a balcony, and a separate bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and shower. Bring your own toiletries as they do want to protect the environment and only provide soap and shampoo. The resort offered a day trip to nearby cases and coves (non-stinging jellyfish!) that was lovely. You also have free use of kayaks and paddle boards. I brought my own snorkeling gear with me and water shoes. The ground is rocky to get into the water, so you might need them. The menu at the resort is simple but good. Anything chicken was the best! Make sure you bring cash for everything as credit card are shown to be accepted but aren’t. You will need to pay cash for everything. Also note that this is a remote part of the island so the is nothing around and you are surrounded by wildlife, which is exactly what I wanted. Keep that in mind when you book! I recommend taking the tour to see the jellyfish (non-stinging) and caves. It was amazing.
