Didn't know what to expect, I booked one night. Boy, how regretful I was. Wish I stayed longer. Bed & pillow were super comfortable. And the surprise? BOLSTER...! I immediately feel at home & indeed, I slept like baby. AC was okay, but the hot water pressure was consistently great, and it made my ritual of hot shower before going to bed perfectly kept. One thing I noticed is how the attention to detail is given to ensure the cleanliness is kept around the clock. 4 times I went to the public toilet and the seat is ALWAYS dry and clean. Yes, I have an serious case of OCD & yet I can't fault the cleanliness. Although a bit dark in Reception desk, Putri the receptionist is always eager to assist. The others need to learn from her professional hospitality attitude. Lobby is small but functional. The Hall meeting room is spacious. My meeting arrangement was easily accommodated and professionally well taken care of by Freshi Moreno. A big thank you for extending your flexibility toward my changing meeting arrangement need. Breakfast selection was varied & satisfying but the group's loud chatters turned off my appetite slightly. Location is great, rate is affordable but at product this good it should've fetched a few more rupiah. Concussion: Stay here. Period. Highly recommended.

This hotel has been used to be very good in service and facilities, but now it has become less tidy with peeling walls, untidy corridors, less varied and less interesting breakfast menu. The musty smell in the hotel environment and the stench if not managed properly in the future. Thank you

I know this hotel is quite old but classic and and worth the price. The room is very wide, i like that so much. Bcause nowdays all new hotels is just standart and to small like studio type. This hotel is family friendly, because of the wide room, and al the facility that all we needed. Not that high but the view from the room is still good. Surabayaaaa what else you can see than cityview? Haha. Anyway, very recommended for those who like wide room and near from mall, foodcenter, and all you need.

The Hotek was well located behind Tungunan Mall. About 5-7mins walk. Opp is a nice coffee place and there’s also a foodcourt at hotel lobby. Room started to age but aircon is cold thou. Good pricing

Great location near the train station. Friendly staff, English spoken. Large room with huge comfortable bed, very clean, excellent hot shower. We arrived from Bromo lacking sleep and slept peacefully here for 10 hours, very quiet, good soundproofing. There was a damp patch on the wall (see photo) but the room itself was not damp so not a problem, and we did kill a couple of small roaches but again not a problem. Nice views of the city. Excellent breakfast of fresh fruit and asian choices, enjoyed the sauteed greens, veg curry, tofu and tempe. We enjoyed our stay very much, refreshed and ready for our onward journey to Yogyakarta. Highly recommend, would stay again. To improve, the hotel could provide filtered water dispensers to remove the need for plastic bottled water in rooms.

The hotel is well located inside the big shopping mall of Surabaya downtown, hotel service is generally good, English of staff are great as well, just the hotel amenities during our stay were not satisfactory, especially the air-conditioning which was not stable...one room is too cold even after regulated where another room was stable. In addition, some amenities were not be fixed before offering the guests, such as some electrical sockets were broken and the door of the bathroom had terrible cracked sounds, other hotel necessities were provided only upon requests, such as shaver and cream; soaps, shower gel etc.... the priced charged was a bit higher than expected with this service. However, the breakfast buffet was the best offer and the feedback from the hotel chef, managers were fast and quite helpful which earned back a little good impression from us during our stay.

The Zest Hotel is a very wonderful and friendly hotel. I’m very happy with my stay. The staff, always smiling and ready to attend to your everyday needs. I decided to stay one night here. The place was quite comfortable, but it just needed some revitalization. I learned that they also provided boarding houses, so maybe that’s why the quality of the room was like a room that had been occupied for a long time. There were no amenities available, only towels. I found this hotel to be great for a budget traveler like me. I booked it through agoda.com for a discounted price. I stayed two nights which was a good experience. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Hotel location is strategic because I could get access to public transportation right in front and to food vendors when I was hungry. The facilities like lifts, toilets, etc in the hotel are excellent. Room's space is good and comfortable. The only non-positive comments from me are: no breakfast included because of the discounted price. I had to pay extra Rp50,000 for a small plate of fried rice and two slices of bread and a cup of coffee. I could get better offer with that 50,000 outside the hotel. Anyway, no big deal. I can further say that for one person only. I also saw women's hair underneath the bed. I guess they have not cleaned the room properly yet. Overall, the experience is good. I still recommend this hotel to other travelers.
