Maxone is a group of hotels in local Indonesia brand. It is chic,simple and in minimalist style. Suitable for youngster that like effective space concept in the design. The hotel has same design in the whole Indonesia. I stayed at this inexpensive hotel for three nights and it was great. The location is in the center with Tunjungan Plaza huge mall just five minutes walk. A lot of eateries nearby. Tidar road is not a big road but also busy with traffic. The lobby is not huge but have space to sit. The hotel is compact and the lighting is not too bright. There is free wifi although not great. The bathroom is small and the shower cubicle has fold-able chair to sit while having rain shower. Toilet amenities is complete with tooth brush, comb, ear cotton etc. Free coffee kettle and two bottles of complimentary water everyday. As you have the option for breakfast as I don't take it then I can't comment about the taste. At 7th floor there is a sky lounge to enjoy drinks and life music during dusk until midnight. Considering the location and price this is the best option to stay at Maxone Hotel during your stay at Surabaya. Public transportation is not really happen in Surabaya, but you can use the environment friendly ”Suroboyo Bus” (pay by exchanging used plastic bottle). This bus will stop in front of JW Marriott hotel then walk straight through the traffic light and you will arrive at Maxone hotel.

im definitely come to this hotel again because the staff is super friendly, the food is awesome, and the room is super comfy. maybe the cleanliness of the breakfast area must be improved because when im arrived, the floor is quite dirty.

We came at midnight for check in, after a long trip from Bandung, we were indeed tired, we booked two rooms and the check in process was really slow. We asked whether we could have a late check out for 2pm, the front desk staff answered that there would additional charge for that. He didn't look at my eyes while answering, instead he kept typing on the computer, not a nice gesture. We asked whether he could discuss it with the manager the next morning, arrogantly he answered, even though I talked to the manager, the answer will be the same 12 noon check out time. We bargain whether we could have a late check out at 13.00, he still insisted that it will be charged for additional. No sense of empathy at all... We went to the room, and we found out that all the wall near the window was really bad and moldy, that were in those two rooms. One the soap dispenser button was loosen, wifi connection was very slow and sometimes off. Nothing special on the breakfast. We saw many guests went in and out without wearing masker, and no staff or security officer were care to warn those guests! Better choose other hotel for next Surabaya visit!

The room we had was spacious and clean for the most part (tiny cleaning issue that was sorted immediately). The pool area is beautiful, could do with more umbrellas.
Breakfast was a little on the disappointing end with the exception of the amazing Deny. I had my first taste of Kunyit asam because Deny insisted😋😋😋😋😋refreshing!!!!!!! Service from the general staff is excellent.

very comfy, i booked for deluxe but there were no room available so my room was upgraded, thanks to the staff for being professional and helpful. breakfast was good and quite lots of choices (western and indonesian) from pancakes, indonesian traditional food, and chinese food like fried rice etc. room was clean but can be cleaner (i found few little insects but that was actually fine for me.
overall very recommended and the hotel is located in the center of the city so this one is a plus! 🤩

What can I say more are impressive lobby greeting the guests on entry, efficient and fast check-in and check-out even the manager loyalty came to approach me ask how my stay experience (thank you Mr. Ismael), nice executive lounge with superb staff service (thanks to Mr. Bagus, if I remember his name), in room the noise insulation from outside very effective, comfy bed and pillows, good hotel design, the room and the facilities. All was ok except for our departures at 2am in the morning. Earlier on I appeoached the receptionist at the counter to help book 3 grab cars to the airport as there were problems on our Grab Apps. The receptionist convinced me to get taxis instead, eventhough the price was doubled, I agreed to it for our convenience. But upon depature, the 3 cars that came were privately owned cars and not taxis! We approached, the receptionist concerned said it was the hotel cars and when I told him he promised me taxis not private cars, he did not answer.
I felt cheated. The hotel should do something about its staff shortchanging guests!

I'm quite amazed with the size of the room. Though it's only a Deluxe room. Unfortunately there was no sofa or extra seat in the room giving the size of the room.
The hotel's fragrance is calming. Superb.
Thumbs up to its front desk staff named Audrey.
She made check in experience better than her colleague.
Would recommend others to stay there and would definitely come again.

You will be mildy suprise with what u booked. yes, the location itself is not on point, i mean you cant see it from the main steeet (only the sign). First suprise is the lobby, the ambience itself is so nice. Brown with shimmering light and not so 'overly friendly' AC will lit up your mood to start conversation with staff. Second, The room and bathroom, they will be make you have lovely rest. The first is a 'proper size', not so big and not so small; the bed is nice, clean and white, haha just like your-everyday-hotel. And the later operate just fine. It was a good night sleep. Thank you -MINUS (the room's soundproof is not nice) PS. there is no parking loot especially for this hotel PSS. because literally it is located in ”red light”, yes that one, but ”lighter” PSSS. if you using OJOL (GRAB, GOJEK etc) prepare some changes for parking fee at the gate of complex. (that's lil bit annoying, they (hotel) say we will get parking id in the description from my booking app but where?)
