We had a perfect stay. The hotel , location and beaches were beautiful. The staff helpful and Friendly. The only thing I would recommend would be to serve dinner till 10pm rather than 9pm. Also the buffet could have had a wider variety of fresh fruit otherwise there was a great selection of food for all. This is only a recommendation not a complaint. Otherwise I would rate the hotel 10/10.

Booked a 7-day break for my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary. Secret Escapes, which is a good company, so booked through them with flights and hotel recommendations. We took the Stanstead Express to the airport, and the flight to Split Croatia was no problem. Transfer to the hotel was chaotic with a shared transport to the ferry terminal with fellow travellers, none of which spoke our language and were probably locals returning home or going on holiday themselves. On arrival at the ferry terminal and overcoming the language difficulties, the rep suddenly realised we were on his list to get on the ferry, which was leaving in two or 3 minutes. My wife and I, in our mid-70s, had to negotiate the carrying of our cases and hand luggage onto the ferry with minutes to spare. Lovely crossing, which took about 55 minutes. Arrived at Brac Island, where we were ushered onto a huge coach with about 50 other travelers and eventually arrived at the Labranda HOTEL and Resorts. Had to drag our cases about 100 meters and then up a flight of stairs to reception. We were then told there was no porterage. Once booked in, we then had to drag our cases a further 200 mtrs after negotiating the flight of stairs down to our apartment, which we upgraded to one with a balcony. The staff at the hotel are excellent and friendly. The hotel is situated about a twenty-minute walk away by road or a 50-minute walk along the coastal path and 5 min to the beach. We preferred to eat our main meal out in the variety of restaurants in town and then have a slight snack at the hotel in the evening as we were on a half-board stay. There is more to tell but will end here. Hopefully, the trip back home is as eventful. as our stay on Brac Island.
Response from Property: Dear Paul D, Thank you for choosing Labranda Velaris Resort for your special occasion. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay on Brac Island despite the challenges faced during your transfer to the hotel. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the shared transport and the lack of porterage upon arrival. Your feedback regarding these aspects will be shared with our team for further improvement. We are glad to know that you appreciated the friendliness of our staff and the location of the hotel. We understand your preference for dining out and are pleased that you found the nearby restaurants to your liking. Your kind words motivate us to continuously enhance our services. We hope the journey back home was smooth and we look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Warm regards, Marina Ostoja, Event & Quality manager

The resort itself is a 7 minute taxi ride from the port (around €15-20 in high season) or you can walk for about 25 minutes. There is ample parking available at €5 per day. I expected my reservation of a Deluxe Double Room with balcony and sea view to be exactly that. Disappointingly, the room provided in the ‘villa’ was on the ground floor with a terrace, an entrance door with frosted glass and the view from the window was obscured by a hedge. The room itself was also dated, fridge wasn’t working and there were carcasses of mosquitoes all over the walls. Ceiling in the bathroom was also peeling. A compensatory bottle of wine was provided under the circumstances. Given that a different room (matching my reservation description) wasn’t available, we had to stay put until being moved into another villa room the following day, in the same building but on an upper floor. This was clearly in better shape and did have a balcony. The resort itself is very well maintained and immaculately clean. The staff are welcoming and pleasant overall. There is access to an abundance of beach space and/or walkway which runs parallel to the beach, albeit very crowded in August. The beach bar offers a good selection of food and drink at relatively reasonable prices. The Olive buffet restaurant is huge with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food selection is excellent and very well presented, although €30 per person for dinner is a bit excessive irrespective of age (children’s pricing?) if you did not prepay for the meal plan. Soft drinks pricing (€3.90 for a small bottle of bitter lemon) is absurd. Breakfast at the Olive restaurant is included and as equally well presented with something for all tastes. Did not use the other facilities, but there are plenty available. Overall, I would recommend the resort but would encourage anyone to verify that room descriptions provided by your chosen web site or agent match the reality.

Very clean rooms and lovely helpful staff. Steep Steps up to the reception and then found we had to carry our cases back down again to get to the room. Although a sign saying luggage drop off it was 2am in the morning and after travelling for 14 hours did not see it. Very small pool with not many sunloungers and suprised you had to pay 8 Euros for those on the beach which had no cushions on them so very uncomftable. You also need beach shoes as very stoney beach and sea. Excellent restaurant and reasonablly priced wine.
Response from Property: Dear Caz49001, Thank you for your review. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the clean rooms, helpful staff, and our restaurant. We apologize for the inconvenience with the luggage and the beach loungers. Your feedback is valuable, and we'll work on improving these areas. We hope to welcome you back for a more comfortable stay in the future. Best regards, Marina Ostoja, Event & Quality manager

Hotel was excellent food lovely and staff very helpful. More staff would be needed on the coctail bar during high season as quite a wait for service.. However investment is needed in the beach facilities. The loungers were very uncomfortable and needed cushions. Equally more parasols are needed as everyone was cramped underneath the trees in 32 degree heat. This would potentially make us prefer Bol as the beach facilities there were superb.. which Is a shame as the hotel was fabulous.
Response from Property: Dear 113467, thank you for your review and feedback. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed our hotel, delicious food, and found our staff helpful. Your comments about the cocktail bar during peak seasons are noted, and we'll consider increasing staffing to improve service efficiency. We apologize for any inconvenience regarding the beach facilities. Your feedback about loungers and the need for more parasols is valuable, and we'll look into improving these amenities to enhance guest comfort. We appreciate your input and hope to welcome you back for an even better experience. Best regards, Marina Ostoja, Event & Quality manager

Supetar fully opens at the end of May and early June, so many restaurants and shops are closed until then. You are left with eating at the resort restaurant which has a large variety but can be expensive for dinner. The breakfast buffet was amazing and covered many tastes. Room was beautiful, clean, and large. Service was excellent and helpful. The spa downstairs offers many services though getting a traditional basic Swedish massage proved difficult because the masseuse only wanted to do Thai massage. Great location by the water.
Response from Property: Thank you for your thoughtful review travel-adventure42! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Supetar and appreciated the beautiful room, excellent service, and the variety offered at our breakfast buffet. We're sorry to hear that the early season closures of some restaurants and shops impacted your dining options. Your feedback on the resort restaurant pricing and spa services is invaluable, and we will address these concerns with our team to improve the experience for future guests. We hope to welcome you back to Labranda Velaris Resort soon for an even better stay! Safe travels! Marina Ostoja, Event & Quality manager

This hotel is a little outside Supetar - about a mile or 20 minutes walk down a gentle slope. It appears to be several smaller hotels of different standards and styles under one management. We were in a separate block of apartments which I would not describe as 4 star but they were adequate and spotlessly cleaned every day. We were only on Bed & Breakfast - which was excellent with every breakfast imaginable and lovely fresh bread. We did go for dinner once (30 euros) which was quite good but we found the restaurants i town to be better value. The staff here are great especially the bar and cleaning staff, not forgetting the gardeners who keep the large grounds in great shape. The beach is very stony so take swim shoes. The swimming pool was fine(if a little cold) in May but it is small and I imagine would be crowded in high season. Overall this is a great base for Supetar and the ferry to Split.
Response from Property: Dear Annie, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and our breakfast selection. We appreciate your comments about our dinner options. Our team aims to provide excellent service, and we're pleased you found our staff great. Looking forward to welcoming you back soon! Best regards, Marina Ostoja, Event & Quality manager

The hotel grounds and setting are beautiful. The staff at the hotel were superb and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon perfect. A special thanks to the lovely ladies on reception. The food, considering it is a buffet, is really good quality. The staff in the restaurant were attentive and friendly, particularly Jake. Bruno at the lobby bar was exceptional and made our time at the Velaris more enjoyable. We will definitely return

Room smells badly and there's no cabin to change clothes at the beach. Food is excellent. Hotel beach is small but with plenty of trees and beach bar on it. Staff is very professional and helpful. Great value for money.
Response from Property: Dear Slaven, thank you so much for your lovely review. Specially we are glad to hear your feedback about food, staff and surroundings. The Beach is running by municipality and we as hotel is not permitted to provide changing rooms or sunbeds or similar since it's public however there are some cabinets provided by municipality in front of the Hotel at he beach side. You must have missed it. We hope to welcome you soon again and wish you sunny days. Labranda Velaris Resort Team

We booked our holiday through Travelodeal and the hotel and setting is lovely as is Croatia. But we had several issues during our stay, including what appeared to be flea bites, no dedicated smoking areas, guests being pushed into a smaller dining area as the hotel hosted a couple of large private events and the lack of GF food labelling in the dining area. We emailed our complaints on our return only to find Travelodeal (terrible company) and the hotel passing the buck and neither taking responsibility or even apologising. Very shoddy.

This place was such a dream. We book via secret escapes so all our flights transfers etc were included. The staff were extremely helpful and food was tasty! Our room had a beautiful view of the sea and was very clean! It only took 2 mins for us to walk to the beach which was an added bonus!

Stayed here September '23. Due to Storm Daniel this was our second choice. Beautiful location, very nice hotel, lovely food, good access to Beach and town. It does, however, need some touching up. Curtains hanging off, fridges iced up, safes not working, aircon units need updating. The staff, especially at the beach bar, weren't especially attentive. Reception and breakfast staff were great. Brac is a lovely island with great access to Split, Hvar and Korcula. Would certainly recommend both the area and the hotel. Just needs a bit of TLC.
