Carillon Beach Resort Inn

The room was generally good with a beautiful view over the lake. It is worth finding out whether your bedroom will be at the lake or road side. The road is incredibly noisy. The resort itself is a mixed bag. Dogs tend to bark all day long and there are a lot of them. The largest pool is freezing cold and absolutely filthy. The two hot tubs are also filthy and one doesn’t work. The heated pool is very nice and a little cleaner. The bellview pool was cold, but quite clean. The 4th pool by the beach was also freezing. There seems to be a lot of construction work at the resort pretty much year round.

horrible customer service - some of the worst I have experienced. we last minute booked a reservation 3 days before our stay. we then found out that there would be construction at the site and changed our travel plans as our infant naps and is asthmatic. we were told there was 0 acceptance cancellation policy. we were charged 100 dollars for a "cleaning fee" and 35 dollars for a "resort fee" all of which we were told could not be refunded even though we never used the resort and never required the condo to be cleaned. the manager was rude, dismissive and combative. worth noting that the the additional fees etc. made the booking almost 75% more expensive than the initial room rate that was quoted.
