Regina Hotel

This was our 5th visit to Sunny beach and have previously stayed in the Corona and Arda 3 star so being that it was a very cheap hotel and going by the reviews we weren't expecting much, but our experience was way worse than expected. The location of the hotel is excellent but the rooms and hotel itself are badly in need of a refurb and a good deep clean. The shower cubicle had mould everywhere. There was no plug or drain just a massive hole. The shower actually leaked through the wall to the bedroom and caused a massive puddle. Air con didn't work, fortunately our daughter was in the room next door and her's worked so I just used her room for getting ready in the evenings. Towels only get changed once a week, after 4 days of no clean towels we had to ask at reception and they gave us clean one's. Bedding also gets changed once a week. Cleaner's come in daily to empty the bin and top up toilet roll and that's it. To be fair they are basically polishing a turd anyway. Staff seemed friendly enough couldn't really fault them. Barmen don't seem to speak any English but I only made the mistake of going to the pool bar once for a glass of wine. Buy your own drinks from the supermarket. Good luck getting a sun lounger, the all inclusivers are out at half 6 every morning with their towels and don't move all day. Only 1 side of the pool gets the sun for most of the day. Went into the pool and the floor felt a bit slimy. Thought I was just imagining it until realising that I only saw it getting cleaned once in 2 weeks. Cleaners sweep round the pool area once a week. We were booked for B&B but didn't dare venture down to see what horrors were on offer for breakfast. We ate out every day, felt our immune systems were already working hard enough to keep the horrors at bay. We found Aura beside the big wheel did the best bacon rolls for breakfast. We are never one's to complain about a cheap hotel as normally its just a bed and shower, but this is honestly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. You can see that once upon a time this was a great hotel but unfortunately they haven't invested in it. We made the most of it but would recommend steering well clear of this place.

This is the worst experience i have ever experienced in 20yrs of holidaying abroad On arrival the room we were allocated had a damp patch from ceiling to floor and was wet I obviously complained the second room allocated was adequate, All staff in all depar**ents had a bad attitude no eye contact, not welcoming, only one bar man was pleasant. On putting the do not disturb card on my door the maid offered me a black bin liner to change the bathroom bin, I handed her the dirty towels which she refused to take after 3 days use I wanted clean towels, She was shouting at me in Bulgarian and walked off. Once again I complain to reception within half an hour she was back with clean towels which she threw on my bed and then seeing another towel on the chair sat underneath the towel was my pool bag on top of that my prescription sunglasses which then she snatched the towel away launching my bag and glasses across the room breaking my prescription glasses, at this point I told her to basically get out my room which she did then walked straight back in again without knocking, this is totally unacceptable. The food menu never changed for the duration of the holiday the "hot food" was burnley warm the dessert where biscuits with sliced oranges or leftover pizza slices from the days Pool Bar.. They served soup and rice pudding for breakfast and often turned the toaster off halfway through breakfast sittings. Day 10 when they decided to sweep the pool area. I have been to sunny beach before and this experience will not put me of going again in the future the resort itself is great lots of shops, bars, fun entertainment, the beach one of my favourite things to do just lovely it's clean sun loungers to hire for the day.

Please people don't book this hotel it is filthy the rooms are not cleaned bed not changed and bathrooms are not cleaned I got a bottle of bleach to clean toilet before it was used would not give it any stars

A big call out to the reception Ladies very friendly and very welcoming and always their to help and very approachable,the hotel is absolutely appalling I’ve stayed in many hotels around the globe including hostels,first off is the housekeeping not once in two weeks as the room I occupied been cleaned or bed linen changed or towels changed,the breakfast I don’t think I will even bother,it was painful getting a coffee let alone anything else,no orange juice or apple all cordial diluted with sparkling water,coffee from the lounge was a joke a plastic cup with granulated coffee,reception floor puddles of water from the main door and all up the stairs from guests walking in after the use of the outside pool,no wet floor signs placed anywhere,and the guests in the hotel presumably from Eastern Europe like wild Animals very rude absolutely no consideration disrespectful doors banging all day long up to about 20.00 at night,children let loose running a riot all over the hotel never ever again One things for sure I check out at 03.00 on Saturday morning I will make sure that everyone hears the noises I make I will return the respect that these Animals in this hotel have gave me

Not the best but adequate,the comments on the previous reviews about the staff being Anti English I can categorically say this is definitely not true,the Ladies on the Desk are very helpful and polite,if you have any problems or issues,the Ladies will Act on any problems and are resolved immediately also they come across very friendly and always acknowledge you,my first week was a nigh**are from the 15th through to around the 22nd,this was due to some Eastern European country,not sure which country,they were from very rude and disrespectful and made everyone feel very uncomfortable,they were like a pack of Animals and not just the hotel the entire district of sunny beach,they cleared off after around the beginning of the second week,the hotel and sunny beach seems much calmer and more relaxed,the breakfast was very poor I understand I am in Bulgaria and you can’t cater for every national so the majority if not all are Eastern European so I would expect the breakfast not to be to my liking,but at least provide pure orange and apple juice instead of orange and red berry cordial diluted with sparkling water,also a coffee machine behind the bar to purchase freshly made coffee instead of coffee granules made in a plastic cup,the breakfast staff were very poor,but I have noticed many restaurants the standard of service and the quality is very poor the staff seem to adopt a can’t be bothered attitude many restaurants have told me they are having to recruit from other Eastern European countries as they are struggling to recruit internally,since my last visit in 2019 sunny beach as gone drastically down hill,as for the previous comment mentioned about theft,the hotel clearly states no responsibility will be taken in the event of any theft without securing a safety deposit box

Am staying there now. Ignore all the bad reviews. Room is dated but well decorated and spacious. Reception staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Special things like proper table cloths, soft towels (and loo rolls). Pool area is great, surrounded by trees. Have stayed in many 3*hotels in Sunny Beach and this is as good as any.

the staff are very rude terrible attitude also cleaners are thiefs too as i had English money in my room which they just took and the rep was a waste of time too. i was meant to be there for 2weeks but i got a flight home after 10 days

After reading the reviews was a bit worried about going. Nice clean central hotel. Found staff friendly there English wasn't the best but could still be understood. Found the breakfast not really for me as was alot of salad in morning but the lunch time menu was nice to eat. If you go in looking for the (Ritz hotel) it's not it's basic but clean. I would stay here again as so close to the *****. Review left from a Scottish person 😊

Awful, change your hotel if you have booked here serve the Russians first! The Some staff are very rude and not many of them speak English No music being played at pool The all-inclusive is not worth it. The drinks are served in small plastic cups which I have seen before but also coffee which is more of a safety risk than anything else. The food is pretty rank more for Russians had to eat out more money spent
