Hotel Melia in Sunny Beach is a place that impressed me in every way. A beautiful, modern property maintained in perfect cleanliness. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist. The food was outstanding, with a huge variety of dishes making every meal a real pleasure. Every day I discovered new flavors and there wasn’t a single dish that disappointed me. The attractions at the hotel are truly impressive, so many ways to spend time that it’s honestly hard to choose what to enjoy first. Staying there was pure relaxation and joy. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for high standards and real rest. Greetings to Mr. Piotr.

My communication with the hotel started before our visit as I emailed them with 3 different bookings (on 2 different arrival dates, 4 rooms) to see if we could all be placed in the same building and floor as I knew this hotel was massive. They had said they would try their best but couldn't guarantee it but when we arrived we were all put in building B and on the 7th floor so we already had a great impression! They also sent me some dietary info and menus for gluten free options via email so I knew they were fully aware of what was needed for food intolerances. We were a party of 10 ranging rom 7 months to 73 years and we all enjoyed this hotel and what they had to offer. Rooms - Very clean and spacious with loads of mirrors. The bed was really comfortable. The only thing we had a gripe about really was that the shower leaked over the bath so the floor constantly got wet but this is only minor. We were on the 7th floor with a view of the pools (and the sea) and we had a great view of the entertainment stage as well. My Parents had a room the other side and a view of the Sunny Beach Fairground, unfortunately the loud music went on into the early hours and they found it hard to sleep so I recommend a pool view room if you would be affected by this. Pool Areas - There were 3 larger pools and 2 of them were quite deep, the other was a good depth but always very busy especially as we had 30 degrees + temperatures so everyone wanted to cool off. Inflatables were allowed though and there is a lifeguard at every pool. Sunbeds are easy to get but a warning if you try and put your towels on them and leave them as they come round and take your towels off because they don't allow you to reserve them. Restaurants - There are 3 main restaurants, 1 in each building with outdoor seating too plus there is a chinese and indian restaurant too. No booking necessary just turn up. We did eat in the chinese and they did cater GF with rice noodles etc which was great but it was a strange concept as you cooked it yourself in a pot on the table. Probably better suited for couples as we had 2 pots on our table of 10 so it took ages for everyone to cook it. They were very good at showing me what I could eat and I cooked mine first so there was no contamination. The indian was also nice and they labelled everything so it was easy to see what I could have GF. In fact all the food in the restaurants were labelled and I was so glad as I don't like bothering people to show me what I can eat, it meant I could look at the labels and get what I wanted. They even had gluten free rolls at each meal and a small fridge GF with other delights clearly labelled. The snack bar was brilliant, I could eat the hot dogs, burgers and chips and the nice guy who served there said he had gluten free bread there if I wanted it! There were two other things worth mentioning on here that we hadn't seen before at an all inclusive hotel and we have stayed in a few - firstly the keycard

I have never written a review before but I was so impressed with this hotel and it's staff that I felt justified in doing so. Holidaying with my mum with mobility issues - wheel chair requirements. Staff unbelievably helpful, organised a wheel chair for the morning after arrival - On the spot request as we left ours home fearing damage in transport (50 lev deposit returned at the end of the week). Nothing was too much trouble, attentive without being invasive, always smiling and happy whatever their roles. Special mention to Dara on Reception who handled a tired, stressed out traveller with sympathy and understanding and Peter, the walking font of knowledge. Absolutely spotless accommodation and pool area. Our room was overlooking the pool area. Food was exceedingly varied, available from various outlets all day, again, staff always happy and smiling. Convenient to the private beach area, shopping outlets and walking on the front in the evenings. Evening and day time entertainment galore with their animation team working overtime to entertain and engage especially with the children but, again, not invasive if you wished to just chill and watch the proceedings. Wheel chair access was good to any area... Fabulous attractions for the smaller holidayers in your party from a bowling alley, air hockey, basket ball machines and the obligatory pool table or 2 as well as random gaming devices all under cover. Can not recommend enough, definitely will be going back to the same hotel.

Went here with my familiy last week. All over a great hotel, and we would definitly go again. + the animation team is GOLDEN. Really, they were amazing - so investeded in the kids and the programs. They went all in, in every activitity every day. Did I mention the kids? I am so grateful for each and every one of them (though we got closer to some of course) and how much and hard they worked to make my daughters week perfect. She (7) cried the whole night we were leaving, cause she got to care for them alot. + both the security and service is good! The hotel is BIG and it could be easy to get lost or feel insecure. But around every corner there are someone eager to help you find your way - and never was I scared of my children. There were guards in every pool and on the slides, who actually was showing attantion! There were also a guard at the gate facing the street who made sure that only guests came in. + cleanliness in the restaurants, by the poolside and general outdoors was good. Somebody, many actually, were just floating around (i did'nt even see them all the time, my trash was suddenly gone!) and cleaned up all the time. The trashcans were never too full either. + location is just perfect. ÷ We were not really that impressed about the cleaning of the rooms, but it wasn't so bad that we felt the need to complain either. ÷ it is insainly crowded in july, specially in and by the pools. You had to be up and out before 9 am to get a sunbed facing the sun. (Not that it was any problem for us.)

We stayed at the Melia Sunny Beach in Bulgaria, located just a short distance from the airport—which was incredibly convenient. Despite arriving late at night, the staff were excellent. They quickly checked us in and then guided us to a dining area where we were offered complimentary food and drinks. This thoughtful gesture was very much appreciated, especially since it was too late to go out and find something ourselves. The hotel is situated near one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been on—clean, spacious, and just a couple of minutes from the hotel. The entire property is spotless, and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, with a wide variety available throughout the day. Our room was clean, well-maintained, and refreshed daily with clean towels. We also received separate fresh towels each day for the pool, which was a lovely bonus. There are three large outdoor pools and one large indoor pool, giving the kids plenty of choice and keeping them well entertained. Around the pool area, there’s a great selection of drinks, snacks, and food—including pizza, wings, ribs, and amazing burgers. Twice during our stay, a staff member came over just to check that we were enjoying ourselves, which made us feel genuinely looked after and valued. The resort felt very secure, with access limited to guests wearing wristbands, which gave us great peace of mind. On our departure day, although we had to check out by noon, our flight wasn’t until later in the evening. The staff stored our luggage and kindly let us keep our wristbands so we could continue using the facilities. Before we left, we were even offered a room with fresh towels so we could shower and freshen up. This level of service went above and beyond our expectations and left a lasting impression. I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel. The only minor downside was the evening entertainment—it was mostly geared toward very young children, ended quite early, and was a little repetitive. However, this was a very small issue overall, especially given how much there is to see and do outside the hotel. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and very much hope to return someday.
