Not the best experience. Room was ok but dont be fooled by the lovely pool views. We were given a room on a roof with a view of the air con unit and the bathroom was mouldy. I asked to change however was offered a room which when viewed had broken beds or was told it would be 20 lev per person per night for another room so we declined paying 240 levs more. 2 days later i got the rep involved and a 20 minite phone call with the manager and a new much nicer room was given with no charge. Second room much better, cleaner, no mould and very comfy bed. Sorry however the all inclusive food is awful. Lunch and dinner were the same and always cold. Chips, cold chips. Iv never seen chips as dry and stale as these. Deserts were always the same bits of cake. Nothing different and certainly nothing for children to eat. We spoke to plenty other people the week we stayed and they all had the same complaints. The non alcoholic soft drinks are disgusting, like they forgot to add something to the post mix. The cola came out like tar and the orange stained your teeth and were warm. People who did bother to have alcohol bought their own mixers from the shops as it was undrinkable. There is only a very poor pool bar, no where to sit and relax on an evening and no evening entertainment. No snack bar open and no snacks however between 3 and 5 everyday there was pizza in the restaurant. Bar staff are just rude, blasting their loud noise music, shouting and messing around with eachother, espevially during the day. As i say there was no where to relax on an evening so didnt bother the bar. There was no ice cream for 3 days. Told machine broke and was laughed at and told it couldnt be fixed. However once the rep was informed (this is advertised as part of the all inclusive and the hotel did have kids staying) ice cream was back the next day. I guess staff just couldnt be bothered to fill it up. Dont try to use the machine yourself or you will like me be shouted at by the restaurant manager, "guests dont touch, ever" even though there was no one there to serve and it is located next to all the self serve help yourself undrinkable drinks. All in all the hotel is in a good position for flower street and was quiet on an evenimg when we stayed and we did have a good sleep. It is also clean. Go with an open mind and dont expect too much. Its bulgarian 4 stars which means nothing. Be prepared to eat and drink elsewhere. If you could go room only - it would be a better option providing you pay to have pool view.

The only thing good about this hotel is the location, I ask for a double room which should come with a double bed but all we got was two single beds pushed together, hotel dated but clean, choice of alcoholic drinks was minimal the food was awful, this had never been a 4 * hotel

Checking in and rooms are good but after that forget it. Food is very repetitive and of low standard. Yes it's edible but on holiday you want the food to be an enjoyable part of the holiday. As for the all inclusive bar, forget it, without doubt the worst ever.

Just returned from a week stay at the Diamond. Start with the positives, it's a lovely hotel, spotlessly clean and a good location, 5 minute walk to the main *****. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. The food in this hotel is the worst that I've ever had. Breakfast was the most edible meal, not great but manageable, the rest was awful. Everything seemed overcooked but somehow still managed to be cold. If you tell the staff the food is cold you get a shoulder shrug as a response. A man I was speaking to said someone in his party had food poisoning from eating there. The drinks are every bit as bad. Soft drinks are so sweet they just seem to be syrup and the alcoholic drinks consist of wine, beer and about 5 different local spirits that are horrible. The water also went off one day for hours so there were no toilets or drinks . We ate and drank out all week and although it's very reasonable it's not what you want when you've paid all inclusive. I read reviews before I came and thought surely it can't be that bad. Unfortunately it really is.

It’s not a 4 star hotel buy lrish / English standard hotel was nice room was a good size but was dam noisy all the time it’s good for the party people not for families poor l never used just as well as it was never cleaned l was All including parkage food was ok for me bar was a joke only a small bar under a shaded part of the hotel had only 6 local sprits and local beer witch l liked and red and white wine on tap trued the white was like vinegar there is a nice bar also to the front side of the hotel but you must pay for everything there witch a bit crap when your on a all inclusive package staff were nice and sleek English except the cleaning staff don’t . Well that’s all this lrish man has to say hope this helps you .

Check in didn't take long because I pre registered already. Complimentary coffee while waiting for our room key. We stayed in the executive suite and it was very spacious. With a separate tv room and desk where you can work. Bedroom also has a tv and a king bed. Two bathrooms made it easy to take a bath. Had a teppanyaki dinner at Yurakuen and the food was great and the service awesome. The breakfast buffet at Corniche had a lot of options. Check out was fast because we were allowed to check out late. Over all a great stay.

DISGUSTING food ended up with poisoning. Shower was broken, sink was blocked. My balcony view was a block of flats so I had a man watching me from his window! Staff were unhelpful and miserable, save your money do not stay at hotel Diamond.

Wouldn't Return to Diamond Hotel or Sunny Beach for that matter. The hotel looked very impressive on arrival and our rooms were nice. Housekeeping did a great job every day cleaning. The food was just OK. Breakfast was a joke. One toaster for the whole restaurant which ment there was always a queue. When you eventually got the toast you always had a queue at the egg station which ment you either had cold toast or cold eggs. Lots of salad, very limited fruit and what was there was rock solid and inedible and you are unsure if it was washed. Dinner every day was some sort of chicken. Some sort of pork and also fish. It was never very hot. Lots of rice, some chips and sometimes potatoes. The desserts we saw in hotel pictures were not there at all. Each meal there was some sort of huge cake cut into bite sized pieces. Sometimes they were green sometimes red and sometimes chocolate. It was almost impossible to get a table. We usually set out our cutlery and a glass of water and went for our food and a lot of times it was removed when we went back. The staff were so rude. My friend went looking for a cup and was dismissed by staff saying "no no finished". We did complain to management about this but it really made no difference. The pool bar, if you could call it that, was a shack. It was dirty and very unappealing. It had a couple of huge bottles of local alcohol, a beer tap and horrible mixers on tap. If you wanted a cocktail it was a red or green slushy with a shot of alcohol thrown in. The restaurant staff were smoking beside the bar and beer kegs and boxes blocked the stairs and it smelled horrible. Alex who worked in the pool bar was the only nice member of staff we met. The electricity went in the hotel one night and the water another. The water was gone for hours so no toilets flushing no water for breakfast or tea/coffee. When we asked at reception what the problem was we were told with the hand waving gestures "the whole town" which was not the case as we had breakfast in Danjo at the back of the hotel and they had water. You couldn't get a drink in the bar at the front of the hotel no matter what you did. I stood there for ages looking for a cocktail menu with two bar staff on talking and chatting to each other and no customers in the place. 3 times we tried on different occasions and it was the same thing. We sat outside one night prepared to buy a decent drink and we were dismissed with more hand waving "not all inclusive" shocking, we just left. The shop in the hotel..... well check the date on everything that's all I can say about that. My advice.. go to another hotel. Don't go here.

Start with a couple of positive the hotel is very clean and the pool area is lovely. Now for the negative, the food is absolutely shocking not edible at all had d&v by Tuesday night arrived the Monday, most of the staff are rude apart from the housekeepers they are lovely, the guy who works the pool bar is as miserable as grumpy from Snow White. They was a group of younger ladies playing inappropriate music by the pool very loudly where children was not great when you want to relax. Definitely not worth its 4 start status at all this is some looking at. Very pool hotel do not recommend at all stay well clear
