My staff has always been a regular client for this hotel. But this time around it was a huge huge disappointment. Approximately on the 28th of November 2019, my staff checked in for a week. On that particular day, she experienced a horrific situation. The night before at approximately 1.30am, the door bell rang twice. Out of fear, she remained silent till the door bell went off. Then at approximately 6pm, my staff called the house keeping to clean the room. Whilst the house keeper was in the room, an unknown man came barging in the room and proclaimed as the house keeper and shouted ”housekeeping!”. And the REAL housekeeper and my staff was shocked. And that man ran away!!... How horrible is that? What if something would have happened to my staff??? My staff immediately contacted the front desk and the ”real” housekeeper said that ”oh i thought its your friend” in malay language. My staff explained that even at 1.30am there was someone who rang the door bell. They replied ”oh theres a mistake on your doorbell”. REALLY????? This hotel is just outrageously horrible. We urged our staff to lodge a police report. But to keep things calmer she said lets let it go as it serves no purpose. She immediately checkout and got her husband to pick her up. The management of the hotel called the security in to check the floors and what about CCTV? not functional?? This is totally unacceptable. The manager furthermore, offered to take my staff out for dinner the next she comes. Bribery in place??? Im sorry but the next that this happens. I shall call the police instead. Cause the management is utter irrresponsible and THIS HOTEL IS UNSAFE FOR WOMEN!
An hotel to consider if you're planning a stay in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia. The rooms are well equipped and maintained. Clearness is ensured. The room is equipped with simple and needed amenities including the coffee making facilities. The front office staff too put an happy face while checking in and out. There is no private parking here by the hotel but one can always park at the local authorities parking along the road. The hotel puts up the parking coupons for you on their experience. Overall a great stay. Nandakumaran Balamuniandy Room 409
There is a lot to love about the Purest Hotel in Sungai Petani starting with the room decor. It reminded me of the style of many small boutique hotels I have stayed at in Northern Italy over the years. Simple stylish and elegant would sum it up. The breakfast spread here again ranks with some of the best I have experienced at any South East Asian Hotel. Catering no for both Western and Asian taste it offers a good selection to both. I ate a very satisfactory lunch in the restaurant on the ground floor on one day, which again was good quality. Vegetables that accompanied the dish were nicely presented on the plate and mercifully al dente, a feat that many hotels worldwide fail. Where it is let down: The marble bathroom floor, whilst stylish, is a virtual deathtrap when wet as it becomes dangerously slippy. This is as mentioned in previous reviews and could be solved with the simple addition of a rubber floor mat. Being a supposed 4 star hotel and given it has a swimming pool I would have expected bathrobes, but there were none. When I enquired I was told they were available at the pool, they were not. When I enquired at reception no one seemed to have a clue as to wheter they had them or not. I was eventually told they did not provide them. This, despite me having seen the same in the housekeeping laundry basket. The pool area is a bit of a mess with stacked chairs here and there and no staff until 4pm. In the meantime it's seems to be used by hotel staff wanting to have a smoke. The pool itself, whilst great, is missing a number of tiles which looks a bit shabby for a 4 star. Note to management, some umbrellas by the sun loungers would be great for shade in the scorching rooftop sunshine. Lastly, I ordered room service on one evening and it was delivered without cutlery or condiments to begin. The food itself, a chicken burger, completely tasteless so a disappointment. As I said to begin with a few well placed tweaks and this Hotel could be wonderful and warrent the claimed 4 stars. Would I stay again and would I recommend it? Absolutely!!

This hotel is antique.. Next time you want to go to SP.. You can stay here again.
The location is great with a lot of eateries nearby. The sound proofing however is fairly poor and the amenities are basic. The check in process was okay however the front desk wasn’t the friendliest person ever.
Great care is taken to ensure guests experience comfort through top-notch services and amenities. Remain linked during your visit by utilizing the complimentary internet access available.Parking is accessible, supplied by the hotel for guests who arrive by car. The hotel is completely smoke-free.
It's quite new hotel, furniture in the room didn't see wear and tear, but the water heater pressure not strong enough.
Good location near Jalan Dewa eatery but too close to road junction, have lot motorcycle and lorry sound midnight sleeping time.
The hotel is very close to the newly built bus station and train station. The staffs are very welcoming and the best part would be the clean and comfy environment. The facilities provided such as : -Ironing board -24 hours Free Coffee and Tea - 24 hours cereals - Cukoo Water Dispenser on each floor I’m very pleased and happy with my stay ! Would certainly recommend this hotel
