I can’t adequately express how wonderful our stay at Stella Casabono was. The hotel’s owners, Roberto and Giuseppe were incredibly warm and welcoming. Their restaurant recommendations were spot on and a delight. Mostly though, Roberto and Giuseppe treated us like family and were extremely accommodating when we decided to extend our stay in Sulmona. The hotel’s location was smack dab in the center of Sulmona and an evening stroll through town became a delightful daily ritual. The rooms in the hotel are large, well designed and the amenities were equal to any 5 star hotel in Rome or Paris. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. On our next trip to the Abruzzo and Sulmona we stay will stay at Stella Casabono because, why not—it was a perfect stay.

The pillows are the best I’ve slept on. Giuseppe and Roberto, your hospitality was fantastic. You accommodated a 3 month old baby, our laundry and everything in between. Great location, very clean and modern rooms. We will back next year. Once again, thank you so much

Sulmona is a charming small town in the heart of Abruzzo, close to 3 fabulous national parks that can keep you busy for days. And as for staying in Sulmona, you can do no better than Stella Casabono! The rooms are cheerful, nicely decorated and convenient, the breakfast wonderful and, most importantly, the welcoming attitude and helpfulness of the proprietors are unequalled.

We spent a few wonderful nights at Stella Casabono. This charming property is right in the heart of the historic center of Sulmona. Roberto and Giuseppe were outstanding hosts, warmly greeting us on arrival and helping to arrange an e-bike rental along with maps and suggestions to assist with adventure planning. The room was large, bright and beautifully updated. Overall, it had a clean, functional and contemporary feel with a large sitting area and a closet. The bed was one of the most comfortable we slept in during our tour through the Abruzzo region, including the crisp sheets and comfy pillows. The bathroom included a bidet and the rain shower was wonderful. Breakfast each morning included fruit, juice coffee/tea and a choice of food options such as pastries and other items to start the day. Beyond the comfortable room and delicious breakfast each morning, what truly made our stay was the incredible kindness and helpfulness of our hosts in arranging transportation and adventure planning to make the most of our time in Sulmona. We hope to return soon!

Having had a really enjoyable stay at Stella CasaBono in June 2024, my husband and I returned to stay again in June 2025. I can see this becoming an annual ritual. Roberto and Giuseppe looked after us royally throughout our stay. We had a spacious suite on the second floor, with a great en suite and a fantastic shower, and a little terrace. (Like most historic buildings in Italy, there is no lift, but Giuseppe took up and brought down our luggage for us). Importantly, given the heatwave, the air conditioning worked well and was easy to control. They also organised a day's tour of area - not cheap but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Once again, I whole-heartedly recommend this super friendly and comfortable albergo, located in the heart of Sulmona's historic centre.

B&B is very nice, very well located, close to the main attractions and restaurant. Ataff is super friendly, always ready to help. Breakfast is not a buffet, but you have enough fresh options, and the coffee does not disapoint: strong and good!

Casa Stella Bono, definitely one of the highlights of our Italy trip.Brothers Giuseppe and Roberto, owners of the beautiful B&B were so gracious and accommodating. Great breakfast provided, along with spacious, clean rooms. The central location in beautiful Sulmona made everything very easy to navigate. Cannot wait for a return visit, and have already recommended to many❗❤️

Everything about this accommodation is perfecto. Family owned and run, perfect location, very comfortable. Warm, quiet and plenty of space. Excellent ammenities. The breakfast was amazing. Freshly cut served fruit fresh squeezed juice. The coffees perfectly made and the rest of the meal plentiful of choice and amount. Brothers Guisseppi and Roberto were so helpful and also wonderful in conversation. We certainly will return here.
