We arrived at the hotel late in the evening after a day of traveling. The young woman at the front desk was not particularly friendly and when we asked for a double bed, she quite briskly said “no”. She gave us a room on the first floor. That night we could barely sleep. Our room was a door away from a backway exit from the hotel. At all hours of the night, people were walking by, speaking loudly, laughing uncontrollably and banging doors continuously. It is not a hotel’s fault that so many people are inconsiderate of others, but in the morning we were exhausted. I went to the front desk, and there was a different young lady there who in the most professional and courteous manner changed our room to the third floor. We had absolutely excellent remainder of our stay. I have to say that she has been most helpful throughout our stay, helping us with replenishing supplies and providing excellent service…I wish I asked her for her name so I could praise her in a more personal manner. There are a few restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The highway is conveniently close. Great location. Overall very good stay.

The property is well situated off I66 with plenty of shopping nearby for those needing to use the kitchenette. At night the hotel is well lit. The room with the kitchenette, bath and double bed was spacious. Furnishings are average with some wear. There are some concerns. The outdoor mats and walkways outside the rooms are in need of sweeping of dirt and dried leaves. Inside, the toilet barley flushed, the floor under furniture was not cleaned or vacuumed and parts were sticky and in need of a mopping. Lastly, the reception desk is often missing someone to help, especially at night. We had to wait often for someone to show up, sometimes up to 10 minutes.

To those who are looking for a clean , a quiet place to stay. My job as a Security Officer has had me posted here in Northern Virginia since May of 2022 , I checked into this Extended Stay at Fair Oaks intending to stay while I looked for a permanent place to live. I am still here because it’s just perfect, the employees are incredible especially Fallah the manager he works all hours and makes sure everyone is taken care of. The building is like totally sound proof I don’t hear traffic outside or hall traffic inside, no above noise like people jumping or dropping things . For safety this Extended Stay fills that void you can be assured you and your family will be safe especially since the Fairfax County Police Station is a mile down the road. Fair Oaks Mall is across the street for dining and shopping “just a very short walk. “ The staff is friendly the establishment is extremely clean and it’s safe what else could you want . Thank you Extended Stay for your hospitality!!
