Friendly service, takes good care of customers (but when going to the room, there was a slight problem with the room door. Waited a little long. But the owner hurried to do it) The location is good. But the bed makes a loud noise when sitting up. Turning around makes a loud noise. So I don't dare to turn around. Afraid that the sound would disturb the next room But overall it's good.

Superb location with our room overlooking the fields and a lovely swimming pool with loungers- again with countryside views. Extensive grounds including a large pond and vegetable garden. Good A/C in room and poolside bar - essential when we were there as 42 degrees and too hot to eat outside. Pool restaurant serves breakfast (simple menu) and lunch/dinner meals. Disappointing that the main restaurant was closed during our stay so we had dinner in the pool bar which lacked atmosphere. Room was large and had a good bathroom - could probably do with a light refresh at some point. Good hotel to base yourself at for a couple of days to see the wonderful Sukothai and Si Satchanalai temple complexes.

Our outdoor Namkhang Sukhothai restaurant offers one of the best restaurants in Sukhothai. Within minutes from our hotel, there is a must-visit - Sukhothai Historical Park declared the World Heritage sites by UNESCO to visit popular ancient sites - Wat Mahathat, Wat Si Chum, Wat Sri Sawai, Chedi Wat Chang Lom, King Ram Khamhaeng Monument, Wat Saphan Hin. This Sukhothai heritage and treasure is appealing to worldwide tourists and can be visited all year round.

This was part of a package tour. The property is quite charming and rustic...with a Thai feel throughout. The room itself was a bit quirky but in a good way. There is a river flowing through the middle of the property with lots of trees. This is good and bad since there seems to be a lot of mosquitos. The restaurant had decent breakfast and dinner. The property is close to the historic landmarks. It is possible to walk out of the property for local restaurants.

Location is great for cars or bikes, driving or riding to the heritage park was easy, hotel even offers bikes for 50 bahts a day.
Room was clean, but the stairs were not friendly for heavy luggage.
Bedding & pillows were extremely comfortable.
We arrived late from Chiang Rai around 11, the security guard was there waiting for us, sorry about that and suddenly a big storm came and he insisted to take us to the room and ran back to lobby in heavy rain, offered to take him back by car, he didn’t want to bother me and just ran back, felt so sorry.
Breakfast was simple but healthy & nice.

Great place to chill. If you stay a few days, make sure you get a room overlooking the ponds so you can relax on your balcony in beautiful surroundings. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but you do need to get used to the early morning cock crows and radio wake-up call at the back. The lady on the front desk seemed a bit abrupt at first, but turned out to be really friendly and helpful. We rented bikes from here for 90 Baht a day. They need maintenance so check the brakes and seat before you set off. Yes, you can rent bikes near the park entrance for 40 or 50, but you have yo get there first. We also needed them to get to the Phum Por and Sinvana restaurants. The hotel restaurant is ok, but the others offer much better choice and fare. Breakfast is the usual Asian 3-star Hotel offering

We felt very welcomed at this hotel. The manager always greeted and very helpful throughout our stay. The pool area was nice to sit back and relax. The room has everything you need. I specially love the balcony and seating area. The hotel is about 5 mins drive from the ancient city park!! The hotel is quite small - probably about 15 rooms so they don’t have restaurants but you can order food from outside at the lobby or just walk to the city to grab local foods. I really recommend this hotel.

I happily stayed here for 3 nights. Sukhothai Garden ticked all boxes. The historical park is walkable. Many choices of breakfast from Thai to Continental. Coffee, tea, water, ice, cup noodle and fruits are available all day. We can have breakfast while enjoying a beautiful garden. Room is simple and clean with hot shower, fridge, television and balcony. Towels and slippers are clean. The location is heaven. Restaurants, coffee house, convenient stores are in walking distance. It’s so close to the market make it convenient to get food to give alms to monks at dawn. Plenty of bicycles to borrow, including ones with child bike seats. Owners and staffs are very friendly, attentive and helpful. The owner’s wife made breakfast for their guests and she also shared me her family meal to try some local food. I’ll come back again definitely!

Outstanding
GGuest UserWe loved our stay here and it was one of our favourite hotels on a 3 week tour of Thailand. Even before our arrival our correspondence with Poolsin was friendly and efficient and she kindly booked our buses and taxis which was incredibly helpful. The room/bathroom was very clean with lovely decor. The pool was a good size and temperature (surprised how cold some others were) and a welcome relief from the heat. Very good breakfast provided and they sell drinks, beers, ice creams to refresh you during the day/evening. The location was perfect for visiting the sites (hired bikes from the hotel). There’s a very pretty restaurant next door and others back towards the town only 10 minute walk. Definitely much better than the places we saw in the Main Street. Thank you for making our trip to Sukhothai perfect!
GGuest UserWe had a most delightful experience at smiling face guest house. It is a fabulous location, couple of minutes to local market and then out front of market to some extremely good restaurants. The hosting family are so very lovely and helpful. We were given a map on arrival and explained a bit about what to see in Sukhothai. Guest house has free bikes for guest use, so off we went to the historical park, awesome, but best on a bike, not a walk, too much to see. Anyway back to smiling face, the room was spotless and the vibe was friendly and comfy. We had a really positive experience and I would recommend anyone to stay here and see the wonders of Sukhothai. Don’t miss weekend night market!
GGuest UserExcellent value for this beautiful place. Room was big very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also big and very well appointed with nice thick fresh towels. Lots of hot water and reasonable pressure in the shower. Nice courtyard and pool area. Delicious breakfast. Amazing value for all the charm and comfort this place offers in very close proximity to all the historical Temples.
GGuest UserThe hotel is well placed for the visit of the historic park, the possibility of parking its car or scooter. There is a swimming pool we have not tested. The room that gave on the pool is pleasant but a little small. The bathroom is not at the level and its lighting is poor. It is regrettable that the hotel does not offer any breakfast, even paying, because there is no business nearby. The benefits are very low and the contact with staff (too discreet) is limited. The price-quality ratio is not terrible, I prefer the Thai Thai hotel, more welcome and offering breakfast, it is near Vienna and shares the same direction.
JjrapeterYou know the score. One thing goes wrong for you and then everything seems to be wrong, so read this as a ”what can happen” not what always happens. Firstly the positives - there's a nice pool, the staff are friendly and polite like most Thais, the omelet was Fab at breakfast (and proper coffee is a pleasant rarity), the bed and bed linen were comfortable. As Jethro (the Cornish comedian) says...what happened was.... We arrive down a dusty back road/dirt track. The two young staff (friendly etc) cannot speak any other languages than Thai. We check in and go to our ”bungalow”. It's not what we booked, in fact it's a room that is available for two thirds of what we paid. At this point I have to say that's only £10 and thus no biggie, but 400Bahts is a big extra profit over here. Worse, not only does it not have a TV (again not bothered as we haven't watched one for two weeks), or a fridge but it's shabby, with beaten up old furniture and the shower is cold. The young girl wants to move us, but no, the young lad fixes the shower and brings an old fridge in. The room is still pokey and shabby and has no desk (there's a wooden bench if you like that sort of rustic!). Unlike other rooms who have patio sets we have a rotten wooden seat outside, we have nowhere to hang clothes and no TV but hey ho, we will bear with that because we just can't be bothered! The other minor issues: food is pretty average, though fairly cheap (we've been spoiled a bit with fantastic street food and restaurants in Bangkok and Koh Lanta). It's not a short walk to anywhere except the bus stop for the old City which is about half a mile. WiFi is pretty unreliable and mainly bad. I went to the bar for two Thai Rums. I got them, albeit measured, and there was a tiny bit left in the bottle which I thought she'd just pour into one of the glasses but no. Now I've owned bars so I thought aha, she'll pour it into the next bottle - good economy really. I return for another shot to find there is, in fact, NO other bottle of local rum! I return to the shabby bedroom slightly irked. I could go on but I'm sure you get the drift. If you get room B3 then know this - it is (should be about a tenner) cheap but you get what you pay for and breakfast and the pool are good. The shower room is laughable if you're not already too hacked off to see the funny side.
GGuest UserMy wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we absolutely loved the place. It is in new Sukhothai so keep that in mind if you want to visit the historical park, but the location in new Sukhothai is great, right near the centre of town on the river. The service is also excellent. On the day we wanted to go to the historical park, we were attempting to book a grab (thai uber) to take us there, but none were available. We went out into the street and there wasn't a taxi or tuktuk in sight. We went inside and asked the owner Mr. Toh, who was at the reception desk at the time, if he could call us a taxi to take us to the park. ”Nonsense” he said, ”I will take you myself”. Yeah! Seriously! The hotel owner drove us in his personal car the 30min drive to old Sukhothai. Not only that though, when we got there, ho drove us to his favourite sights on the outskirts of the park. Sights we probably would not have made it to if were walking around, and they ended up being some of our favourites! Furthermore, we had an early morning departure on our final day, and he woke up early just for us, just so we could check out and he could say goodbye. My Toh, you made our trip to Sukhothai very special, and because of you, it was one of the highlights of the trip, thankyou!
Jjosu****Backpackers can walk to Sukhothai Bus Terminal, close to the night market, naturally alarms in the temple in the morning, start early in the morning, and the morning market is right in front of you, so you can solve it. Yes. You can go to Sukhothai National Park directly, but I think you have to take a tuk-tuk. The bedding is clean.
JJuanK RuzThis standard hotel offers a decent value for a private room and private parking, especially if you're traveling by car or motorcycle. However, be prepared for a bit of a workout if you're assigned a room on the third floor, as there's no elevator. The location can feel a bit isolated, particularly if you don't have your own transportation. Despite these minor drawbacks, the friendly and helpful staff make the stay more pleasant. If you're just passing through and need a budget-friendly place to stay with parking, this hotel is a solid choice.
GGuest UserThe location is good, there is a free shuttle bus to the historical park at the intersection. The style of the store is very Thai. The small environment of the hotel is very comfortable and the greenery is good. When I get up in the morning, I sit at the door and drink coffee. The breeze blows so cool. I will come again next time.
