Komme immer wieder in dieses Hotel. Zimmer sind außerordentlich sauber und angenehm. Toller Spa-Bereich und professionelle Mitarbeiter. Bislang hatte es hier nie an irgendwas gefehlt. Komme sehr gerne wieder hierher!

My experience at the hotel and with the provided breakfast was very good. In the meantime, I have asked the hotel to return to me an electric toothbrush an Oral-B made by Braum, which I left accidentally in my room 501 on my checkout day of May 27. A lovely hotel. All the staff we met were extremely friendly and professional. I don't speak any German (typical British person!) but most of the staff spoke some English. I had an excellent sleep on a very comfortable bed. The food in the restaurant was excellent, but they do not have English menus, so Google translate came in very handy! Large, safe car park at the back of the hotel. Ignore the old reviews, this place is wunderbar!

Sehr großes gemütliches und ruhiges Zimmer mit großem neuen Bad, großer Kleiderschrank mit Fächern, Garderobenständer... Sauna für uns privat, da man sich in eine Liste an der Rezeption eintragen musste. Sauna sehr sauber und für 8 Personen geeignet. Fantastisches großes Schwimmbecken, Temperatur für Schwimmer sehr gut, Liege- und Sitzplätze zum Relaxen daneben, Wasserrauschen wie am Strand. Frühstück mit viel Auswahl, aber regionale Produkte Wurst, Käse ... von einheimischen Herstellern wäre wünschenswert und fehlen leider. Sehr freundliches hilfsbereites und auskunftsfähiges Personal.

HVD Grand Hotel Suhl bietet große, saubere Zimmer; sehr gute E-Bikes zum Ausleihen, eine gute fußläufige Lage zur klitzekleinen Altstadt mit Fußgängerzone; ein sehr schön großes Schwimmbad (endlich mal eine für begeisterte Schwimmer geeignete Länge), allerdings etwas kühl (daran sollte sich ein begeisterter Schwimmer nicht stören), eine nette Sauna (allerdings war die Dampfsauna nicht in Betrieb), freundliches Personal. Nicht so optimal sind: die Saunalandschaft ist zwar sauber, wird aber etwas stiefmütterlich behandelt (zu geringe Temperatureinstellung anfangs, es liegen keine Saunatücher aus, kein Mitarbeiter zur Ausgabe anwesend), Abendessen nicht ganz mein Geschmack, etwas zu sehr convenient. Allerdings gab es nicht so viele Gäste während unseres Aufenthalts (low season), kein Schinken zum Frühstück; nur "günstige" Wurstwaren, wenig Käseauswahl. Keine Klimanlage. Man sollte ein Zimmer zur Rückseite nehmen wegen Lärmimmission von nahe gelegender Straße. Suhl selbst bietet zwar wenig Flair, weil schon von DDR Plattenbauten dominiert, hat aber eine nette (sehr kleine) Fußgängerzone und man kann von dort viele Ausflüge unternehmen. Würden wiederkommen.
