We loved Casa Olea - an oasis of restrained luxury beside a stream, surrounded by the olive groves and rugged landscape of the Subbetica, a delightfully-off-the-beaten track corner of Spain peppered with delightful white villages plus hiking and biking trails. The home-cooked food is fantastic and we only once had dinner anywhere else! Lovely small pool, great shady lounging areas and pre dinner drinks at the bar make it hard to tear yourself away and explore! Not to mention the night skies are a great for stargazing. It’s no wonder people come back time and again. We too won’t leave it so long to revisit - thank you for a memorable stay.

The location is wonderfully relaxing, beautiful scenery and full of birdsong. Hosts Tim and Clare are warm and thoughtful, and have created a truly impressive place that people come back to many times : when we stayed there, at least 3 other people there at the same time as us had been there more than 7 times, and the record I believe is 14 times. Keep in mind there are only 6 bedrooms. There’s lots of country walks nearby, and historic Granada (book your Alhambra visit well ahead!) and Cordoba are an hour away.

Tim and Claire's guest house is a hidden gem nestled in a picturesque setting. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality from Tim and Claire. They manage to strike the perfect balance between attentiveness and respect for your privacy, making you feel right at home without ever being intrusive. Bedrooms offer wonderful views. Our room was spacious, well laid out and extremely comfortable. The bathroom large, and well designed. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast is a buffet, showcasing a diverse range of fresh, high-quality, and locally sourced produce that caters to most tastes. The coffee excellent and plentiful! An optional dinner is available, Claire’s home cooked food is exceptional and thoroughly recommended. One of the most delightful aspects of this small guest house is the opportunity to connect with fellow travellers. With just a handful of rooms and all guests opting for the optional dinner there was the opportunity to share stories of our day and pick up tips and ideas during pre-dinner drinks in the bar, with Tim on hand to keep conversations flowing and to offer up his knowledge of the local area. Tim and Claire have ensured every corner of the guest house is infused with care and attention to detail to ensure a flawless experience for us, fantastic hospitality, breath taking surroundings and fabulous food, I wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem.

Beautiful location. Lovely room. Good bath / shower. Tim and Claire are excellent hosts. As soon as we booked they sent very helpful information about, for example, the need to book well in advance for the Alhambra and other major attractions.

Casa Olea is beautifully located, somewhat off the beaten tourist track, with great views and walks in every direction. Our room enjoyed a lovely outlook, and was very comfortable. The house and hosts were extremely welcoming. Unfortunately our weather was not great, and this somewhat limited our enjoyment of what is clearly a magnificent area for walking. We stayed 2 nights and ate in both evenings- I'd summarise as inexpensive good home cooking, accompanied by a good choice of wines. Happy to recommend.

Wonderful visit. Great welcome and extremely well. Looked after by Tim and Claire for the whole stay. It was so relaxing just to be there in that wonderfully peaceful location. Terrific food, local wines and olive oil. We enjoyed it so much. we have already booked our next visit. Thank you, Austin and Judith.

We so enjoyed this place! It seemed to be in the middle of nowhere (which in the dark means no light pollution/great night sky etc) but is actually very well placed for day trips to Cordoba, Granada, etc. We felt like we were experiencing authentic rural Spain (it's an old olive farm and the current owners produce their own olive oil from the original trees - which you can buy, and we did!), but with the benefit of British hosts (meaning no language problem for us as sadly we cannot speak Spanish!) who were SO helpful with suggestions for walks, places to visit, if you need to buy tickets, when best to go, where to park etc. It was also a real benefit too, to be able to have dinner here at the end of the day - even more special outdoors on the terrace. An absolute delight, you will not be disappointed. We would unhesitatingly recommend!

This B&B near Priego de Cordoba is a gem! Our hosts, Tim and Claire, were warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. Our room was beautiful -- we especially appreciated the round window over the bed -- and there were areas indoors and outdoors for gathering and relaxing. We loved the evening meals on the terrace -- outstanding food and outstanding views! Tim and Claire gave us great recommendations for places to visit and arranged a visit to an olive producer and a guide who brought us through the tunnels of Fortaleza de la Mota in Alcala la Real. (The two resident dogs at Casa Olea also were a treat!)
