Booked last minute online driving up Spain this was a golden find. Slightly difficult for the Sat Nav to find on a dark wet night. Parking is limited but adequate unless the hotel is packed. The staff were welcoming with an adequate grasp of English/French. The hotel is spotless and has a very charming character with asymmetric rustic furniture/decor throughout that unbelievably blends so well together.Bedrooms/bathrooms are comfortably adequate but definitely not high-tech. WiFi is free and a good speed.
The restaurant offers a limited selection of superb meals in the evenings (you would not want to eat elsewhere after sampling it), and breakfast has a fine and unlimited cold food selection, and a great help yourself coffee/late machine. You can buy great value wines with your meals but beer/lager was not available.
The hotel is in a quiet location and is dog friendly for small breeds. Well situated if waiting for ferry crossings (25 min drive)
I would 100% recommend the hotel as good value for money, extremely charming with food to die for, and would definitely book again if the need arises.

El lugar es súper bonito y la posada estaba genial para ser tan antigua. El desayuno estaba riquísimo, así como la comida del propio restaurante. Lo mismo podría decir de la limpieza y la atención, ninguna queja al respecto. La gente muy agradable.

We arrived very tired and were sorry to have to go to dinner in town. The manager is very kind, the house is very welcoming and cared for in detail especially in the common areas. The rooms are very small but have all the essentials.

Fuimos a pasar la nochevieja y todo un fiasco... Un mal servicio y una cena bastante simple, a penas pasaron la 1 nos fuimos porque no estábamos a gusto... una pena ya que fuimos toda la familia 14 personas y no lo disfrutamos. Además la atención no mejora en la recepción...

Sitio muy recomendable a las afueras de Suances. Excelente relación calidad precio. El edificio está muy bien conservado. Limpieza Ok. Habitaciones pequeñas pero acogedoras. Buen desayuno, cena de menú correcto. Personal muy amable. Para volver.

Fuimos a descubrir Cantabria y nos hospedamos en La Posada Santa Ana. La comida fue exquisita, las instalaciones preciosas y el servicio fue excelente. Ana estuvo insuperable. Desde el momento que entramos vivimos una experiencia preciosa, porque todo sumó y lo hizo posible, no fue un simple hospedaje en cualquier parte. Nos encantó a todos, en especial mi hija. Volveremos!

Ambiente acogedor, que mantiene la esencia original. El personal es muy amable y la habitación limpia y luminosa. Desayuno y cena muy completos y variados, en un entorno familiar pero que permite conversaciones privadas sin molestar al resto.

Se escucha absolutamente todo: crujir de escaleras, TV, conversaciones de otras habitaciones, etc. las habitaciones son chicas (estuvimos en ático 1), apenas ventilación y sin armarios ni perchas para colgar la ropa. No la recomiendo en absoluto.
