The Niu Mesh

This hotel had many issues. It was selected because there was a big event in Stuttgart at the moment, and most hotels were already booked out. When research was done, hotel looked quite nice online, and given the price at that moment was over €300 per night, believed that this would deliver on a standard business hotel experience. I was very wrong. The hotel is located in an industrial area, so there is almost nothing other than buildings around - no stores, no restaurants to speak of, just nothing. They don't even have room service in the hotel - which is a problem since they serve food only at breakfast. The rooms are very small and don't have even a desk or small table (just a single wooden chair in the corner). It would have been impossible to work from there. The desk person told me that normally the hotel charges €65 per night and in some months even €45, which is in line with what the situation was - not in line at all with charging several times that. Value not at all in line with what was paid, and not really suitable for business travel. The desk staff was not especially efficient nor helpful. When calling for taxis in the morning, they would hand off a card, or call, but several people were always waiting which led to conflict amongst guests. Very awkward. Though had any other rooms in the city been available, I would have switched (without hesitation) the one saving grace is that within a 5 minute walk there was a hiking trailhead into a beautiful forest area, with lots of paths which made for some amazing opportunities for a morning run. That is what made this stay tolerable, but would be unlikely to repeat a stay at this hotel.

The hotel has come in the years. Specially the bathroom should be renovated once, the right water temperature in the shower can only be difficult to adjust. But for a night actually enough. Now to a great criticism point. At 3 p.m. a man with a key (without to knock etc.) just came into our room. When my husband left a brush of himself, he's out again. Now the question is what he wanted. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. The staff member told us that we were given only one key of two. The second key was in a key box directly on the treasure and was provided with room number. After we said that this was a great safety risk, she only thought that she was in the process and would soon move to code cards. The case was not cleared and no feedback from the hotel manager was received. For me it looks rather disinterested. We will not book this hotel anymore. The hotel's condition is not very bad, the main thing is clean but I want to feel safe in a hotel and this is not the case here.
Hotel Gloria Superior

The reception team at Hotel Gloria when we had an issue with our previously booked hotel. We turned up - there was no one to let us in, and no response to calls! Thank-fully the receptionist at Hotel Gloria was amazing and really helped us out of a difficult situation on Good Friday evening. Great service really does make a place shine, and our room and the cleaning team were great too. Thanks again and we look forward to booking with you (first!) again.
