The surrounding environment is average, but it is very close to the city center. You can walk to the New Palace. It is on a slope and only a few dozen meters away from U6. It is very convenient to take the subway.

My stay here was pretty good. I thought the hotel was beautiful. I stayed in a "castle room" and it was decent size for one person. I found the shower strange with the glass partition over just half of it so a lot of water ends up on the floor. I think this is a Germany thing though because my next hotel in Munich had the same partition. Bed was soft and comfy, another Germany quirk is no top sheet but just a duvet. A/C worked well. Breakfast was just ok, lots of breads and cheese and the waitress asked if we wanted an omelette and it was a decent cheese omelette but honestly, we skipped the breakfast the second day because we were underwhelmed. The Koi pond in back was beautiful! A nice surprise. Parking was TIGHT so if you have bigger car good luck. Onsite parking was great to have though (for a fee). I didn't have an ipad in my room but my friend did and she said it didn't really do anything. I also didn't know I had a mini bar in my room until checkout... probably a good thing ;) All in all enjoyed my stay - staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome.

We had an amazing two night stay at Hotel Zurich Weinsteige with our family of three. We arrived at the hotel four hours before scheduled check-in and the hotel was more than happy for us to leave our suitcases whilst we went out and explored Stuttgart. Upon our return we found the staff had already taken all of our luggage up to our room for us. The breakfast is well worth the extra money. All staff were so friendly and helpful from giving us recommendations, maps, calling taxi for us. The hotel is close to a Lidl and numerous pizza and kebab shops for a quick meal. We would definitely stay again.

Absolutely spectacular. Best room I've ever stayed in. Slippers and bathrobes provided. The decor is stunning. We dined in the restaurant and the food was to due for. There was a main waiter with full suit and tie. The sub-waiter only wore a vest. Each time they poured your wine or served you they put their left arm behind their backs. Everything was glad gestures to the sub waiter. They explained every dish they served. The room was beautifully decorated. The spiral staircase was black and gold.

Charming older mid-priced hotel with great amenities including very friendly service, a/c in rooms, nice terrace with flowers, koi pond, bar, highly rated restaurant, smoking lounge, minibar, good breakfast, and reasonably priced garage parking. It’s true the decor is quite dated but the bed was great, nice down comforter, and the room was quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Overall very good and we had a good time even though we were a little far from the centre, we took the convenient tram which stops nearby; the hotel seems dated but our room was very nice, comfortable and spacious as was the bathroom; in addition to the central body (not many rooms) there is another part where there are other rooms which have a large tank full of fish and a garden in front of them but it is not accessible by lift while I had explicitly asked to be able to use the elevator to go to my room; convenient parking under the hotel even if there is no direct access to the rooms and you have to go from outside; positive overall.

The Hotel zur Weinsteige is centrally located. 15 minutes walk to the New Castle (pedestrian zone). We had booked the suite. It is beautifully furnished and second to none. Check-in was friendly and unproblematic. The garage is directly behind the courtyard. Unfortunately, the hotel is surrounded by construction sites (this was unfortunately not communicated when booking). Luckily, it was a public holiday the next day and we were spared construction noise in the morning. Unfortunately, you could hear the waterfall of the koi pond directly in front of the suite. The double bed is very comfortable and just wide enough (unfortunately due to the historical furniture). There was a fruit plate and a bottle of water in the room for free. The WiFi reception was very good (included). With the TV, it was a bit annoying that the TV loudly announced every channel you changed. The suite was very clean and air-conditioned. Compliments to the housekeeping. We were served very friendly at breakfast (you are happy to overlook the odd service blunder). We were able to choose between three different breakfast options the day before. The hotel is highly recommended

We actually wanted to eat at another restaurant and had made a reservation there months in advance - but the day before, the gourmet restaurant found that they had nothing to offer me with my allergies. So we looked for an alternative on OpenTable and spontaneously chose Weinsteige. What luck! From the very beginning, my allergies were taken into account without any problems and they conjured up fantastic, tasty things! I didn't feel disadvantaged or like a problem, just welcome. Great service, delicious wine, warm atmosphere, peace and perfect timing. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
