What a gem. Beautiful property in a very pretty location. We were lucky to be given room 2, a beautiful room complete with four poster bed. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was delicious. Special thank you to the team, especially Cath who greeted us on arrival and was absolutely lovely. I would highly recommend a stay here, if you want a warm welcome, fab service and good food. Thank you.

Good points - best bacon at breakfast! I've never tasted better; thick, full of flavour and absolutely delicious. Bad points - the annex. Guys, it you are offered a room in the annex - don't bother. The standard of decor and maintenance (simple coat of paint!) is just not acceptable. I expressed a concern about having to flush the loo with the waste paper bin. This was an issue in 2013 - see below! Same room. If you do decide to risk it, I highly recommend you manage your expectations accordingly.

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price We stayed at the Amberley Inn for one night while attending a wedding and were extremely disappointed. The room was tired, basic, and bore no resemblance to the photos on the website. At £140, it was very poor value. There were multiple issues: the Wi-Fi didn’t reach the room, water pressure was too low for a bath or shower, two lights were broken, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The spiky metal headboard made it impossible to sit up in bed, even with the very thin pillows provided. Curtains were also too thin to block out light. This was one of the worst overnight stays I’ve had. I contacted the hotel after checkout to raise these concerns and received no response. I would strongly advise against staying here.

Breakfast and evening meals were exemplary, made with fresh, local produce. Nicely presented room with great views, containing a very comfortable bed and adequate luggage space for a short stay. Maybe a second chair in the room would be helpful

This hotel was recommended by a friend. I stayed there for two nights and would, in turn, recommend it. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food, simple but well cooked. The rooms comfy and the position lovely. A big plus is that it is reasonably priced. What more could you want?

We have just come back from a 2 night stay at the Amberley Inn. What a lovely stay we had we were greeted and looked after by Skye as we arrived, and on the first night in the bar and restaurant, all other staff were equally attentive. Delicious 3 course meal with wine, Perfect breakfast in the morning served by Jennifer who looked after a busy breakfast room wonderfully, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff this day too. We went to a wedding on the second night. But had another great breakfast on our last day. Rooms were lovely and clean, staff all amazing I just only took 2 names sorry to everyone else. Food was just amazing too. Can’t wait to return thank you amberley inn!

Myself and my wife stayed for one night whilst visiting a National Trust property. The Inn is a typical attractive Cotswold Pub with rooms and the reception, bars and restaurant looked attractive. We had booked a "classic" room (22). This was in the cottages at the back of the property and this unfortunately was where things started to go down hill. Firstly, the good points: the room was clean and warm and the bed comfortable but the room was in poor condition with moldy bath grouting and moldy window frames that were beginning to rot. The double-glazing was blown and the outside windows dirty. The carpet was stained and some furniture badly scratched. The ceiling paint was cracked and the skirting, scuffed and dusty. It looks as if the fixtures and fittings were probably several decades old and are showing their age. We ate in the restaurant and the meal was pleasant but be aware, at the time of writing the menu displayed on the website was approximately 30% less than the actual prices. I suspect that any investment has been made has been to the rooms in the main building. These are rooms marketed as "premier" rooms.

Weekend break away, made very welcome by the staff. Food is excellent. The beer and wine selection was very good. The room although on the small side was very comfortable, with stunning views out over the valley. Would definitely keep The Amberley Inn on the to do again list.
