The Croft Guest House

The room was so lovely. breakfast was lovely,mini buffet and optional. Kevin&Fran the owners was great people!!. :) Thankyou Kevin&Fran! :) I would recommend to families and friends. The bathroom was very nice and had a lovely ensuite in my room.

Very well located with easy walk to the beautiful town. Well priced for the area. Breakfast was good, hot and cooked to your liking although the plate was rather greasy, plenty ofchoice from the buffet section of fruits, yoghurt, cereals etc. The room was very nice and clean and had plenty of complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner , although, all the pillows were very, very lumpy leading to a mostly sleepless night and need replacing. The grouting in the shower is in dire need of either a deep clean or refurb. Even with the comments made, I would stay again

Weekend break in Stratford and location seemed ideal for us. We checked in really late and Kevin kindly accommodated this. Our rooms were very clean and inviting, and in both rooms the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large and absolutely loved the waterfall shower, with the jets too. Lovely toiletries too. Breakfast had a good choice, including fresh fruit and there's a small fridge available in the dining room for your own bits and pieces.

An overnight stay in beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon was somewhat marred by torrential rain and a huge Funfair sprawling all over its historic city centre. Despite the above, my wife and myself were pleased with our accommodation at the Croft Guest House. Located within 15-20 minutes easy walk of the railway station we arrived shortly after the check-in time of 3.00 p.m. Our 1st floor bedroom with its 4 Poster and en-suite was of a sufficiently good size. Well equipped, it included a spacious wardrobe, desk, seating, bedside tables, television, hospitality tray etc, and we observed there was a good standard of cleanliness throughout. Breakfast was served between 08.15 - 10.00 a.m. in a delightful and airy dining room. A choice of full English, continental or vegetarian was on offer, supplemented by fresh fruit. Self service being the order of the day - with the exception of cooked items which were promptly brought to the table. Overall, a comfortable, enjoyable, restful interlude.,

The best breakfast! They were a real standout for us. Plenty of cappuccino coffee. Courteous hosts and comfortable room. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend. Thanks so much for your hospitality

This guesthouse has a great location just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. It seemed reasonably priced given the location. We arrived early and the proprietor very kindly let us park and gave us our room key. A good start. However, when we later went to our room we found that we could not open the wardrobe door as a key had snapped off. No amount of prising would open it, as it was jammed at the bottom - probably why the key had snapped! We also noticed numerous cobwebs in the room, and thick dust along the sides of the carpets, around chair legs and so on. Clearly the cleaning staff don't worry about getting into corners. Our only other issue was the lack of hot water in the morning for showers. This may be caused by that fact that everyone in the guesthouse were likely to be using it at the same time as the breakfast is only served for a short period of time (signs in the room say between 8.15 and 9.00. As we only stayed one night we put up with the not usable wardrobe, but mentioned it as we were checking out. We were rather surprised to be answered with "oh didn't I mention it to you?" from the proprietor! Such a shame as the location is great, the breakfast was pleasant enough and the price good. Overall, if you want a reasonably priced stay near the centre, this is fine, but be prepared for an interesting experience.
