One shower , one toilet per floor ( 9 rooms per floor ) . The room is in another hut and not in the main building as you might think . A room so small that you can hardly move in it . There is no wifi in the rooms !!! The wooden floor in the corridor creaks when people cross and interferes with sleep . The entrance to the room is with the help of a code . When you enter the code , the beep sounds in the rooms And for all this you also pay 150 euros , which is very far from getting value for money . In short - this exploitation of the owner , is the unflattering side of Norway !!!!

We had a meat soup and sausage for a late lunch. The soup was good but could have had a little more taste. Bread and butter was good. Sausage had a good spicy taste. Nice view of the lake, nice staff and good atmosphere.

This is a great hotel to stay in if you are hiking Pulpit Rock. The restaurant had a good choice for dinner (probably two of better meals we had in Norway), and they had a coffee station that was available all day long - the hot chocolate was so gaod=). The room is bare bones, but comfortable (no tv but you don't really need one when you are outside all day). They have blackout shades were awesome bc most hotels we stayed in didn't have great curtains for how light it stays so late. There is a cafe, a place to rent hiking equipment (I like to use poles so this was nice) and a little souvenir shop.

We stayed here the night before, and the night after, our hike up to Pulpit Rock. The rooms are simple but clean, comfortable and quiet. Such a luxury to walk downstairs for breakfast before heading up to hike before the crowds arrive! The hike is AMAZING. And it was so nice to return to have a beer at the bar overlooking the lake. Do try the local brew--very tasty! We also rented the floating sauna for a couple of hours--a nice treat for our tired muscles. We were a couple in their 20s (who did a second hike on the way to Pulpit Rock) and a couple in our 50s who brought trekking poles and sore knees. There was snow on the trail in early April but we were able to rent crampons at the activity center and that helped us a lot! We all loved the experience. The meals at the lodge are delicious. Though our vegetarian would have liked a few more choices. We were also able to pack a picnic lunch from the breakfast buffet for our hike. The location is so beautiful and the staff really went out of their way to be accommodating--like making us a meal when we arrived a bit after a long drive even though the kitchen had closed. Our stay here was the highlight of our roadtrip through Norway!

This was a great place to stay. Beautiful surroundings. We even swam and canoed in the lake. The food was very good, the staff really nice. The place has a lot of history, as it is the storting spot of the Preikestolen hike. Something went wrong with our booking, but it was all solved perfectly. They really went out of the box to solve this for us.

Sleeping one night in view of the walk to get to Preikestolen at dawn. We arrived here in the afternoon with a very comfortable coach from Stavanger that takes you right to the entrance. it is a kind of village, there are several places to sleep, a beautiful restaurant, a bar, and also some shops. Unforgettable dinner, canoe rental at a very low price. Magnificent experience. Advised. Really convenient, to reach the Preikestolen there is the beginning of the path right next to the entrance to the Basecamp.
