The K club is a breathtaking hotel. The rooms are so beautiful and they have everything you need. The hotel staff is always so attentive especially Ceasar .He helped us get a case we had left in Waterford before our departure and he was on it. It came to us the same day at the hotel. Such a great man to have working for you at your hotel. Loved our time here in Ireland and ending our trip at this breathtaking hotel. ☘️

I stayed for one night with my husband and one year old son, we had a package which included breakfast and dinner. All the staff were friendly and helped us with our luggage on arrival. We stayed in room 59 and it was v comfortable, I really like the old style decor and the voya toiletries. Children's time in the pool was between 3 and 5 and we walked down to the spa which is a separate building. It's a nice little pool and perfect for a splash. We had dinner in palmer restaurant and staff were patient with my active one year old. I had wings, steak and brownie which were all v tasty. It was my birthday and staff wished me a happy birthday with my dessert and sent a treat to my room. There's a playground with goal posts beside spa which was handy for my son to runaround. There was beautiful sculpture and art exhibition on and we were lucky to get sunny weather to walk around gardens and enjoy them. Thanks to all the staff for enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the K Club for my husband’s birthday. We booked in a two nights and ate both nights at the Arnold Palmer restaurant (which is a short shuttle drive away from the hotel itself on another part of the grounds. The food was excellent but can I recommend taking a seat at the bar there and having the wonderful Tomislav mix you up a cocktail or two. What a skilled mixologist and excellent ambassador for the K club he was! Good customer service was the order of the day from Dean at Concierge and Charlie at breakfast and afternoon tea to Paulina at the spa, everybody made our stay truly special! The decor is classic, and the rooms are spacious — we upgraded to one of the Liffey suites and it was a great idea if you want to linger later into the evening for a read while your partner gets off to sleep. The grounds are wonderful to explore, even if you are not a golfer.

There were 6 of us in the group visiting for a golf weekend. We arrived on Saturday lunchtime and couldn't check in prior to playing golf as we had a 2.50pm tee time on the Palmer South course, however the reception were happy to store our luggage whilst we went for a round of golf. The only problem was somewhere to change for golf without being able to check in, but i made use of the toilets to change in so it was fine. We played a round on both the south course on Saturday and a round on the north course on the Sunday which are the 2 courses located at the K club. The south course was nice and a true test of golf but the North course is next level, we expected this being the Ryder cup venue and it was a real treat We had dinner at the south clubhouse on the first night and the green Thai curry i had was delicious, we then ate at the North clubhouse on the 2nd night and the Lamb Shank was again delicious The pub in the village called the Straffan Inn is owned by the hotel too and the hotel offer to take you to the pub and pick you up again afterwards which is worth doing. The pub is a nice friendly place and the locals are very friendly and interested to hear your views on the K Club and its courses Breakfast is also good and the staff look after you well. the hotel itself is a grand place and worth taking the time to walk around its beautiful gardens. It has plenty of choice for dinner and drinks all of which we experienced were great and the Guinness as you would expect in Ireland was fantastic, or 'Mothers milk' as described by some locals The rooms were spacious and comfortable with great showers We only stayed the 2 nights but we were looked after very well by all the staff and all 6 of us really enjoyed our visit to the K Club We also played a round at Portmarnock Golf Club on Monday before we went to the airport which is a fantastic golf course and highly recommended

This is an excellent hotel, great facilities, very well presented and a great place to stay. We stayed for a weekend using Amex FHR and availed of the early checking, late checkout and superb breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed just after Easter and there were live chicks in a cage in the main reception - very good for kids and a nice touch to make the place feel more homely. The setting by the river is lovely - we had an upgrade to a river view room and the view was very nice, river and golf course. The room was very plush with nice fruit in a bowl plus a coffee machine and some snacks. The bathroom a large with bath and shower and very nice toiletries. The restaurant is used for breakfast and dinner and we found both to be excellent Breakfast is either table service or buffet style - whatever suits you better. Dinner was expensive but the food is of the highest quality. The extensive grounds are great for walking around if that’s your thing, with paved paths and gravel forest trails. Overall a great stay and we’d love to return

I stayed at the Kclub as I was attending a Wonderful event they hosted with good food Ireland. The hotel and grounds are magical. The rooms are amazing and the most comfortable bed and pillows you could dream of. The staff are so genuinely friendly and warm and the food at the event was fantastic. Our breakfast server I think his name was Joe was so lovely and a credit to the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We returned to the K Club after about a dozen years since we loved it last time. We weren’t disappointed. A lovely hotel and great golf complex with the two course. I thoroughly enjoyed playing the famous Palmer North course. Our river view room was terrific…it was in the new part of the hotel, added since we were last here. Nice large bathroom with both nice tub and walk-in shower; double sinks. Great bathroom; nice view of the river. The public rooms are beautiful with the long elegant hallways. Beautiful landscapes. The Barton was excellent. Three course meal, but one is the amuse bouche, so really just two courses. Excellent foie gras and Roscommon lamb. This is a very special place for wine aficiandos due to its Barton family heritage. The Bartons, of Bordeaux fame, owned this estate for five generations, selling only in 1949 to concentrate on their Bordeaux businesses in the aftermath of WWII. What’s great is that the hotel has kept its connections with the Barton family, including some very special Barton wines available at the hotel bar and restaurants, which are collaborated on with Lisa, the Assistant Manager and Sommelier, who is fully involved in the history of that affinity, and travels to the winery in Bordeaux frequently to assist in the blending of the wines for the K Club. She gave us a tour of the wine cellar which was a great experience. The Staff is wonderful to a person. There are 6 km of walking trails which run by the river and up into the South golf course. There is also a history of here with Ian Fleming who wrote several of his books while staying here. The South restaurant was very good with a nice range of more casual options like excellent chicken wings and spare ribs. The Palmer restaurant was also a nice choice for lunch with its excellent soup and more chicken wings. The Blue Martini Bar is a really nice classic bar with friendly bartenders who know their stuff, like John. The included breakfast was excellent as well with nice buffet options, or a nice range of specially prepared dishes like full or part Irish Breakfast, porridge, eggs Benedicyt, scrambled eggs with excellent Irish smoked salmon. We were there for four nights which we thought was the perfect time to spend there. Only about an hour from Dublin. Not much to do outside the resort, but good things to do within it! If you love golf, you will expecially love it! Highlly recommend!

I left the K club this evening- and I was fuming ! Such an unprofessional team🤷‍♀️ I cannot believe that I was in the K Club! We arrived for an afternoon tea Halloween special- we were left waiting in the reception area for 25 minutes - concierge told us to take a seat - in the end I had to ask the receptionist what was happening- she told me very non chant that I was in the wrong area and told me to go down a corridor and afternoon tea would be served- and after that there was “a thing” on in the club house! We took 3 kiddies down and up the corridor looking for the room- a young girl then directed us into a library where one table was set just for us in the corner🤷‍♀️ no one else around two people having drinks by the fire but just us in our own that was at 4.15 pm remember we had a 6/4/2 year olds with us us and you can imagine trying to keep them entertained! the afternoon tea was finally brought out to us at 5pm - that was it they gave us the bill €300. Boxed up what the kids didn’t eat and sent us on our way. 🤷‍♀️ 2 adults & 3 kids - the kids were in tears because there was no Halloween adventure Below is the description of what we expected to get🤷‍♀️ The Mystery Machine has pulled up at The K Club for a midterm afternoon of spooky Scooby Doo shenanigans. The adventure-filled afternoon begins with an abundance of devishly delicious Halloween treats at the Scooby-Doo Afternoon Tea for swapping mystery-solving tactics over an array of spooky sandwiches, s-cream-filled cakes, and Scooby snacks. When the clock strikes, you're invited to a skeleton wedding party. But wait! The bride has lost her ring and The K Club's tower bell is missing! Yoinks! Follow the clues along the guided mystery tour to recover what's been lost and receive a delicious reward. Shocking service - and false advertising- they should be ashamed of themselves- disappointing kiddies like that .
