This is a lovely wee restaurant of the hotel. Staff were delightful and friendly. The food was delicious. I had leek & potato soup with homemade bread. It was piping hot and tasty. The highland ‘coo’ beef and ale pie was as soft as butter and amazingly tasty. Not a bit of gristle to be seen. Reasonable prices. Well worth a visit. Views across the loch are great.

Lovely food, great service. We visited with a group of 8, the meals were fabulous and the service was fab. Only reason for dropping a star is because they forgot to order one meal which meant one of our party ate at a different time than the rest. Despite this, the cost of the meal was removed (we all make mistakes) and a round of drinks was offered. This is exactly how hospitality should be. We had lots of fish dishes, drinks and desserts and they were all excellent,

Visited on holiday as a family. Food was expensive and disappointing. Cod loin lacked flavour, was supposed to be on bed of risotto which wasn’t like risotto but again flavourless rice. Starter was ok if you had the mussels or Cullen skink but hummus was just mushed up chickpeas no flavour.

On the shores of Loch Fyne with a beautiful view from our bedroom we were in roomy comfort. I loved the spaciousness and the decoration. The facilities were very good, lovely long bath, masses of hot water. Our dinner and breakfasts were excellent and all served by friendly and attentive staff. It didn’t matter that it was mizzely and misty….the loch and the hills are impressive whatever the weather

We enjoyed a relaxing 2 night stay at Creggans with family. Comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel. Large rooms with views over Loch Fyne are really great! Restaurant is excellent - freshly prepared locally sourced food, nice menu & wine list. Superb breakfast! Bar is relaxed and friendly. Lots to do in the surrounding area for day trips. Recommended.

We went in for coffee, but instead decided to have a soup & sandwich lunch. The welcome we received at reception desk was non existent. We were merely told to go through the door opposite. We ordered coffee, which was delivered promptly, together with a menu. We both ordered soup & toasted sandwich. The soup was tasty but lukewarm at best. The ham sandwich was on cold white “toasted” bread - hardly browned at all & our suspicion was that it was a leftover from breakfast. The form of presentation was lacking any delicacy & was frankly quite coarse in appearance. We were not asked a single question as to whether or not we had enjoyed our meal. We mentioned the lack of music & were told the boss did not approve. The ambience was as cold as the temperature in the room & as cold as our initial welcome at reception. Quite simply, the whole event was a total letdown & an extremely poor advert for Scottish hospitality. We shall never return.

What a treat to stay here for 2 nights last week while walking the LL & Cowal Way !!! My hosts didn’t just go the extra mile, they matched my 18 mile daily average! On my way there I’d slipped over and not realised I’d lost my reading glasses… stupidly I was not carrying spare pair and villages en route too small for pharmacy. I called Creggans on the off chance and by the time I checked in a pair had been magicked up from somewhere ! And given to me. Second night I was late to dinner, had walked in rain all day but they made sure I had a very relaxed evening, a gorgeous meal and a fab table in the peaceful bar area with the best view!

We didn’t stay here but had their lunch menu. Cullen skink, mussels and scallops. The most wonderful Cullen skink and perfectly cooked and fresh mussels and scallops! The service was fabulous and the staff super friendly. I could not recommend them highly enough!
